Slugfest Games Red Dragon Inn: Allies Wrench Card Game

My dad loves this entire game, so we love buying the expansions. Each new expansion we get he always says he’s interested in the “never been played game about a dragon and an inn.” All the expansions, work with the base games and have similar action cards.

As the title suggests, this might be the most complex Individual Character addition to RDI (Red Dragon Inn) yet! It is fun to play & this one will say, if other players leave this character "unchecked" he has the ability to steam roll the game. The fliip side to this is that characters who know how powerful Wrench can become tend to target him, so If you are an RDI player who does not like to have a bullseye on you, pick a different character! The other notable point, this is the first of the RDI expansions that is maybe (I do stress the word maybe) a little bit overpowered compared to some of the other cahracters. I've only played him three times, all in the same night with friends, so my observation may be off. Still, It's a quality level game accessory as we come to expect from Slugfest games. This is a solid addition for those looking for more charater adds to their existing RDI games who want to have a little bit of variation in play style. Shipping arrived early, also a bonus. Fun additional character

This was a Christmas present for my youngest sibling and their girlfriend. Seeing as there have been no complaints (yet!) I'm going to say it is what they wanted!

I have all the RDI characters, and Wrench is... well, he's odd. A lot of people will say he's overpowered... and he isn't. Not exactly. He requires the other players to play DIFFERENTLY, which is what I think the main issue people have with him.He summons little gizmos to help defend, fight, and do other things for him. They wear out on their own, but (and this is the important bit) if another player blows them up (fortitude loss), Wrench takes damage as well. And it can't be prevented or avoided.You NEED to smack his gizmos down. He's won in several of our games because people just kept letting them tick away, and keep trying to hit Wrench himself. He has avoidance cards where he can sacrifice his gizmos to take no damage, and gizmos that make him take less in the first place. And then people say he's too hard to kill. Fiona, Gog, or Bree (or any other physical damage character) would probably be able to handle him just fine IF they went after his gizmos and not HIM.Still, his gizmos are fun to play with, and he has a decent variety of cards that he's not just a one note character. He's not my favorite, but a welcome addition.

Wrench is fun. Once you take the time to learn how to play him, you /can/ be powerful, if the other players don't immediately go after your machines. Wrench relies heavily on his contraptions to be a strong player but can be taken down easily if his opponents target those machines
