Pooky the Powerhouse
So excited to add Pooky to the roster! The character really is a powerhouse and after playing against it a few times, I think I finally figured out how to best it. As with the other add-on characters, the cards are well made, great illustrations, comes with its own set of coins and life/drink tokens, and its own small playerboard. It's a great addition to the team!

Love!
An awesome addition to the character decks that I have. The references to Zot and other characters on his cards is hilarious

Fun expansion
If you're into Red Dragon Inn, wouldn't be a bad idea to pick this up. Pooky has his own unique deck, slightly more complicated than the first two installments but not so much as the multi-deck characters from RD3. He plays a little like Serena from RD3, only while her piety is a gradual thing, Pooky's mood counter can ping-pong quite a bit (which suits his spastic nature). I don't think there's any advantage in his being calm, either, so it's kind of a silver lining when something bad happens to him that his mood gets worse and he's more dangerous.I like playing as Pooky. He's pretty well balanced in terms of strength, kind of middle-of-the-pack. I guess I'll have to play as him a few more times to really get the hang of it, but he's enjoyable and that's what counts in RDI.The box comes with a tiny character board, about half the size of one from a full version. There is one glass counter for his moods, but the fortitude and Alcohol counters are both cardboard (boo). He has additional coins, but they are about half the size of those included with the full version, which was kind of a goofy choice. I would have preferred all glass counters and coins interchangeable with the other version, but that is purely asthetic and rendered moot if you just use counters/board/coins from a full version, which you can do unless you are already at the maximum amount of players. That criticism is so minor I'm not knocking a point off; just felt it was worth pointing out. Finally, Pooky does not come with a drink deck, which Slugfest has consistently pointed out, and which is why he is an expansion. You couldn't, for example, buy only Pooky and Erin the Ever-Changing and have them duke it out without a full version.Hope this helps! Buy Pooky, and play RDI!

Fun addition to the base game
Red dragon inn is such a fun game, and pooky adds just the right amount of chaos. With his varying moods and tendency to bite, he is a worthy addition to any game night

Great Character Addition
I really enjoyed this character addition to the original game. Having played Red Dragon Inn 1 and seeing Pooky's antics through Zot's cards, I naturally couldn't wait to get Pooky as a stand alone character. Pooky is a fairly well balanced character with a good mix of cards. I really enjoyed the addition of Pooky's mood.Pooky's mood changes when certain things happen to him: e.g. he loses at gambling, he take fortitude damage, and his mood affects how certain cards affect the other players. It adds another bit of depth to the game which I find quite nice.Overall I would recommend for anyone with one of the base games to add Pooky to their list of adventurers.

Play as Pooky, Zot's familiar, and bite a lot of people
At this point in time I own all the RDI expansions and decks. Pooky came as a refreshing addition with a lot of adorable card art (including pulling Zot out of a hat).Pooky shares similar traits with Natyli in terms of their lack of defense cards. Pooky only has a couple, and his best cards come into play with the use of his Anger Meter, an additional mechanic that gives him a range of damage on several of his cards. Arguably, being Psychotic (the highest tier of his meter) is best bet for Pooky to be a real contender, but to do so he has to take some damage.Pooky comes off like a berserker, but he's really more of a glass cannon who excels at early game but has trouble near the end. If he can fly under the radar and avoid being a direct target so that he gets to end game in fairly good condition, he has a chance to win. That said, sometimes Pooky is best off being very aggressive in early game (he has two small heals that become practically useless once other characters have a certain level of Alchohol), so that he leaves characters more vulnerable for the final showdown. If the other character is anything but a Gambler, Pooky's chance of winning one on one plummets pretty hard, since he has less ability to take and disperse drinks and damage.Even though he's hard to win with under less than perfect conditions, he's still a lot of fun to play. He has a lot of high damage cards and the ability to wail on the entire party with some of the highest (natural) damage dealing cards in the entire series.Recommended if you like a challenge. :)

My favorite Ally!
As a rabbit owner, Pooky is my obvious favorite, of the Red Dragon Inn supplements. I love that the mood changes and adds a little bit more complexity. The only thing that I would change is that the ally coins are smaller than the full game coins.
