Monster Scales and Modes: By Dave Celentano

Have tried various chord books and this beats them all for explaining in depth.

It was a second hand book but was like New!Definately recommend!

the only gripe i have with this book is the layout the way it precents it self exsample and take to mind my freind has the same book and his was printed the same way. The numbers and the dots dont tally up correctly the numbers are on the lines after the fret and not marked on the fret like other guitar books. very off putting .hence 3 strs.

Excellent book. Don't let the cover scare you, this is a serious subject treated in a fun way. Very clear and concise. You can get this information on the web but I prefer to have it in hard copy.. Extra scales from different cultures included, He has done a comprehensive presentation of all the scales. Really good reference work for your bookshelf.

Two minutes into the first scale in the book, mother of all scales the major. Hit pattern #4 and boom, that doesn’t sound right. There’s a sneaky G before the G#.Come on Davo, you’ve had 31 years to correct your mistakes. It’s not like there is pages of text to review, I read the whole book in 10 minutes. I might go back to YouTube, seems books may have had there time.
