Design Toscano QL58930 Bright Eyes Solar Cat Garden Statue, Full Color

I came across this cool looking cat that is a solar light and thought how cool he would be to have. I got him out of the box and placed him on the table outside and charged him up.He works all night long for me. The color of the solar light is yellow. It is not super bright like the white color lights, but is very cute. He sits on my picnic table and never falls over, even with some very strong winds we have had.This cat seems to be made pretty good, no rain has gotten inside of him during the time I have had him. He charges from the back and that is nice, I can have him face the house and he gets more than half a day of sun. The few days we did not have sun, he still worked for half a night.The cat looks like he is wearing goggles (the kind that men used to wear while ridding a motorcycle).I would recommend this solar cat to anyone who loves cats. If the power goes out and we have had some sun I can always bring this in to help with being able to see around the house (the white ones you can almost read by, not this one). This is very cute and looks nicer than on the computer screen.

I bought this as a Mother’s Day gift for my mom and she absolutely loved it. Unfortunately it stopped lighting up after about a week, so we had to return it, but the replacement Amazon sent has been working perfectly ever since. It’s super cute in her garden!

The solar lights do not work

Cute piece but it small and doesn’t provide any real lighting. It’s cute for a garden ornament though.

I love this thing , so cute and yes about 10 inches high , it's made it threw the rain in San Francisco for a couple of months now . It's worth the buy for your patio and most likely will scare away unwanted neighbors thinking its a raccoon lol.

This item is very very small. Almost impossible to see from any distance. I do not recommend this item.

This Solar cat garden ornament came packaged in polystyrene but I found it chipped on opening which was disappointing. The figure itself is around 8" high and weighs 2lb's in weight. The instructions are very simple. Turn on and leave in the sunlight to charge via the solar battery array on the cat's back. The spotlight eye's will then turn on at night giving 6 hours of "low" light.Despite the cuteness of the figure, overall I was a little disappointed with the ornament. 1st off the damage in transit which was a shame. Then the light weight to the ornament was a little annoying as it didn't have a spike to bed it down. The whole thing felt a little cheap and not well made. The majority of the weight is actually in the cats spotlight eyes making the whole thing a little top heavy.In order to get up[ to the 6 hour of light it recommends 8 hours out in sunlight. Living in the UK I am sure you understand that this is problematic. In fact I have only managed to get just under 2 hours of light from the cat at night so far, which is no doubt down to the weather we have. Finally the painting on the cat, although fairly decent on the body is very poorly executed round the "spectacle" lights, with the blue paint running into the body of the cat and round it's face a little. Personally on arrival I found I didn't like the bright blue "spectacles" so actually have repainted the colour myself. That was when I noticed the poor painting standard. I would expect that sort of quality on a cheaply bought ornament but I feel with the price the item sells for that more care should have been taken or at least better quality control.

It's tacky but fun and is actually quite easy on the eye. The charging system works OK but could do with a light sensor and PIR detector so it only works in the dark when it detects movement. On a dark winters day there isn't enough charge to last more than a couple of hours.
