The media could not be loaded.  I hooked it up was worried or stressing cuz you know how bad things always seem to happen 😂..but it got down to 23 24 last night and I did as the instructions that came with it said to set it at 30 give it a 2.5° difference both ways.. and I got up this morning at 6:40 am and the water was wide open!!!..it relieved me and made me so happy that nothing happened to my water babies... I don't have to take it upon myself to unplug and plug the device back in now it's a huge stress reliever.

Purchased two (January 2021) for a large residential floating dock. One unit did not work out of the box - even with temp control set to zero. The other worked as advertised but lasted only one winter season and has stopped working entirely. Had to purchase another (3rd unit) within a year. Returned both inoperable units directly to Kasco for repair/replacement under their 2-year warranty. Will update when/if I ever hear back.

Thermostat is off by about 10 degrees. Currently set at 18 degrees and it is still running even though the air temperature is 27 degrees. I am going to have to monitor this unit closely for a few weeks to confirm inaccuracies now that temps are dropping below freezing at night. Concerning given the $100 price tag

Seems to work well and we believed it was accurate b/c it turned on and off according to ambient air temperature when we tested it . Easy to set temperature, b/c it is similar to an interior wall timer. Nice weather cover.The plug end gets bulky because the deicer plug end has to insert into this plug end, which makes it so big it does not allow us to fully close the weather cover on our exterior electrical outlet at our dock. The price is high at 3 figures.

This product performs exactly as advertised the big difference between this unit and competitors which are half the price is quality. You know that satisfying sound when you close the door on a Mercedes? That's what you get with Kasco original products. At first I bought a cheap thermostat for $30 which was immediately returned and replaced with this unit. The $30 unit was practically a toy, there's no way it would've lasted even a season. This is an industrial quality thermostat which is designed for one purpose which is to turn on and off their deicing units. This is the first year that I've needed one and I've got their entire set up from the half horsepower motor to the dock amount and the thermostat. This works better than expected and comes on precisely where I said it. All of my neighbors ponds/lakes are frozen except mine… My ducks love me for it!!
