Vibeey Thermometer for Adults, Digital Non-Contact Forehead Infrared Thermometer with Fahrenheit Reading for Baby and Adults

Finally, after the beginning of this pandemic I've had to buy roughly 8-10 thermometers. On almost every one that I've purchased the temp was reading either high or low. Not accurately at all. This is the very first high volume thermometer that consistently give accurate reliable temps for 60+ employees each day. All of the others have consistently failed or would have a range of 10-15 degrees on the same person just a few seconds apart. As a matter of fact, I purchased two thermometers at the same time. Different brands but both were Non-Contact Forehead Thermometers. Right out of the box this one was accurate, the other one showed a temp that would be considered hypodermic.

Long story short, my company is requiring me to take my temperature every morning and fill out a form. Now, I have a thermometer, but having to clean it everyday and eventually have to change out the end and spend more money. There weren't too many digital infrared thermometers because they were getting sold out, but I was able to snag anyone these days, and I'm so glad that I did. I just had to pop in an AAA battery(not included) and change the temperature to Fahrenheit, aim it at my forehead, and then done! Don't have to go wash anything or clean anything. Makes my mornings a lot easier now.

We were a little skeptical of a high tech health device for such a low price, but were intrigued by the speed, ease of use and no need for cleaning or swapping out covers between uses. So when we got it we tested it many times against two others we had - an oral digital and an oral old fashioned mercury thermometer; the readings weren't identical but they were all consistent - the Vibeey was always about a half degree below the others, but consistently so. So once you have your baseline temperature when you know you are healthy, you can accurately track deviations. Great battery life, easy to read, very fast response, and as I mentioned very consistent. We're using it exclusively now.

My only issue with this thermometer is with the batteries:1) Batteries were not included. Not a big deal, just be prepared. Many thermometers come with batteries.2) I can't use my Eneloop rechargeable batteries. The device simply would not turn on with them installed, even though the batteries were fully charged to 1.5V each.It works great with a couple of alkaline batteries. Way more convenient than the digital oral thermometers.

So far this seems to work okay, and readings are reasonably consistent with my old under-the-tongue thermometer. Type on operating instructions so small it might as well be invisible ink. I couldn't find a legible instruction document on line; to read them, I had to scan the little folder in six segments and then combine them to create a usable .pdf manual. Instructions themselves are fairly vague (e.g. don't specify how to recognize positive/negative poles to insert batteries correctly).Instructions don't mention any need to calibrate. First readings I got showed 94.5F (< 95F generally indicates deadly hypothermia). After I fiddled around with the buttons for Celsius/Fahrenheit; Human/Object; Memory) it gave a plausible reading of 97.1. Since then, readings have been plausible, but I'm not yet confident of accuracy.

I ordered this and had an issue where I would insert the batteries, there would be a beep as I closed the battery compartment, and then nothing. The screen wouldn't come on, buttons didn't do anything, etc. I tried different batteries to no effect. So I asked for an exchange from Amazon which went seamlessly. However, the second unit did exactly the same thing, so I've just returned it for a refund this time. Looks like other reviewers are having this issue as well.

I'm honestly super surprised at the negative reviews I'm seeing on here. I got this thermometer about a week or two ago as I have been a COVID long hauler for going on 4 months and grew tired of constantly having to take my temp with an oral thermometer (takes too long and is annoying to have in your mouth multiple times a day.) This thing has been pretty solid for me. I hold it maybe a couple inches from my head and it seems to give me fairly accurate readings. I tested it against my oral thermometer a handful of times and it's only been .1-.5 degrees (F) off from it. With that said, you do pay for what you get. This is not a high priced forehead scanning thermometer. Sometimes I'll click it and I'll get a weird reading that doesn't seem right, so I'll do it a couple more times to make sure I get a good one. If I'm still feeling weird about what it's returned, I'll bust out my oral thermometer (I've only done this once or twice) and see where it says I am.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I don't know why it wants a warmth designation on everything, this item does not get warm. Recently, I needed to monitor my temperature twice a day for pending surgery. This device worked very well. You pull the trigger, with it aimed at your forehead. The first number is your last temp, the second number is your true temp. After a minute, it makes a beeping sound and turns off. I checked it against my under the tongue thermometer, and it was spot on.
