James Fisher and Roger Tory Peterson's World of birds Hardcover – January 1, 1977

This work was described in “Birdwatcher “, a biography of Roger Tory Peterson (An excellent book BTW). It was central to his published works. With such a recommendation I had to seek it out. It is a marvelous book. The black and white photos are better than many full color versions and the text is outstanding and prescient. This is absolutely essential for anyone interested in birds or the history of birdwatching or ornithology.
