Highly disappointed that this did not arrive. It was coming from overseas. I ordered it for a relative for their birthday since they're huge beach boys fans, Even my parents are. I even went to concerts when I was a kid as young as like 8 years old. I know all the songs I listen to all genres of music. Disappointed. I was not given a tracking #. They told me it was not available. I was told to wait. It could take some time. I waited as long as they told me to and gave them extra time so whether it got lost in the mail or whatever So I'm not going to give them a negative reading considering I believe it was coming from Australia so 4⭐'s out of 5. But I had to have my sister purchase it somewhere else and she had to pay almost $20 more than what I paid for it on here. Highly disappointed about that though and I totally hope I could find it on here again for decent price in the US or I would buy from Europe. I've never had a problem getting something from Europe. Australia must be an issue. I haven't been having problems getting items lately. Just this and I've had two books that I bought used from the US Get lost or whatever in the mail but otherwise never any issues with Amazon and always a quick swift refund. But I heard the CD is phenomenal! So if you're interested in getting it and find it in the store if that's available or somebody in your country is selling it or a seller you know is selling it on Amazon. I highly suggest buying it. It's great and it's 3 CD's & all the songs are the best of the best!

My copy came all cracked up, despite the fact it was sent in a secure package. Fortunately the CDs played like a charm and the booklet was OK.The first 2 discs of this 3 CD set are pretty much standard Beach Boys fare, except for the end of disc 2, where you hear the Beach Boys Medley (the reason I got the set - only a few collections on CD have this track, Sunshine Dream, the original set with the Medley has been OP for decades and only on LP (maybe tape).CD 3 is more eclectic, containing some nice tracks from 20/20, Surf's Up and Holland. The other tracks come from a variety of the 70's and 80's stuff. The last track on CD 3 is a "duet" of Fun, Fun, Fun with Status Quo, Something I haven't seen on my American BB collections.So the sound ranges from great to fair, in other words a typical BB compilation. Some of the old Mono releases are in stereo here. I'll let you decide if that's an improvement. But nothing terrible here, just not too many tracks have great sound either.So my verdict is 4/5 stars. It gives a nice view of the BB's career and has adequate sound. And the price was very reasonable. If you don't have any BB records this would be an OK place to start. If you have one of the two larger BB box sets I would skip this unless you are looking for one of the two tracks I mentioned above. Get the original albums in the format you prefer, starting with Shut Down, Part 2 through Holland. But this is a good, reasonably priced place to start.

I unfortunately broke my last CD of the Beachboys (Songs of Summer). I bought this CD set to replace it and wow it is great. The first 2 CD's have all their hits and is fun to listen to. The third CD is okay. Can't wait to play the CD's while playing corn hole with friends in the good weather. If you are a beach boy fan and like to listen to boom boxes rather than a phone playing songs, this set is for you!!

OKAY, THERE ARE SOME BIG HITS OF THE BEACH BOYS THAT WERE OMITTED FROM THIS 3 CD COMPILATION SUCH AS "CATCH A WAVE" AND "409" AND "SHUT DOWN" AND "GOOD TIMING". BUT STILL IT IS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE OF THE CURRENT "BEST OF '" OR "GREATEST HITS" COLLECTIONS AVAILABLE. SO I GIVE IT 5 STARS. YOU CAN FIND THOSE SONGS LEFT OUT OF THIS COLLECTION ON "SOUNDS OF SUMMER" AND 50 BIG ONES". OTHERWISE ENJOY THE SONGS OF ONE OF THE GREATEST AMERICAN ROCK AND ROLL BANDS.

Some of the music sounds like tribute bands, but we love the Beach Boys, so not too big of a deal.

Whilst not an avid Beach Boys fan I took this opportunity to buy this 3cd set which has all the hits and several important album tracks. Whilst not strictly chronological each disc covers a stage of the Beach Boys career. Disc 1 the early career including their first single release, Disc 2 their prolific classic period, and Disc 3 their later period. Each disc opens with some of their most prominent songs from the era making each disc play like a traditional album than just an anthology and it seems to work. I bought this version rather than the later expanded version because for some reason the later version missed off Breakaway. A further thing in its favour is that it comes in a jewel case.
