South ShoreNarrow 3-Shelf Storage Bookcase with Door, Black, Pure

It deserves the 5 stars if you understand what you are getting and what you can expect for the price. I tend to move a lot and need furniture that looks okay but is semi-disposable (not expecting to take with me at the expense of renting a truck). I need furniture that I can set up, use, and forget. This furniture will not survive moving or hauling and it wont be a family heirloom. However, if you are going to set it up and then leave it in one place, it will last (unless you have kids and pets). The main issue is if aren't experience in putting together this type of furniture (pressed particle wood between finished sides). The manual does have the same problem most do; it does not reference which side is the visible side so you might have to unscrew a piece or two and then redo. The manual was clearer than some others I've seen. The shelves will hold books but not a lot of weight and you may have to flip them over every other month or so to prevent warping. My biggest suggestions would be to find a friend who has put furniture together before (or buy cheaper versions from Walmart to train) and use wood glue on the joints that might get the most stress. Don't throw away the marker as you will get scratches and marks.The shipping and packaging was very protective in my case and I had no damage so I did not contact the provider.

I ordered two of these, but thank goodness only one was actually delivered because these are heavy and I wouldn’t have wanted to deal with returning it. I know we’re post-Covid and times are hard, but the wood arrived scratched in multiple places, the paint is not durable, and one of the pieces was smashed in the corner like it had been dropped. The tack nails came in two different sizes, like they had just assembled the hardware package from scraps. They give you a small black permanent marker so you can disguise the holes you aren’t using, and the door just kinda sits lopsided because there is no support for the bottom opposite of the hinge. For some reason they give you 7 plastic caps to cover the 4 large holes on top.

This is really a beautiful bookcase. I like the little covered space on the bottom to hide my drinks and stuff i don't want people to see. I use this in the cubicle in my office for additional storage space and it works great. South Shore's customer service was also top notch. When i was assembling this, I noticed the pivot hing on the door was snapped in half and i emailed them asking if they could send me a replacement so I could install the door. I got a reply within 24 hours and they shipped it out to me by the end of the week. I would definitely recommend this product or buy another one if I needed.

Bought this item as extra storage for the many binders I have and this seemed like a perfect fit for my closet and I was right it was the perfect height. When I was putting this together I loved the fact that they gave extra supplies just in case you dropped or if something was missing. When I received this package I was weary like always because usually when I buy furniture and receive it in the mail it always ends up being dinged or damaged, but to my surprise everything was in perfect condition. South Shore wrapped everything up and added extra cushioning. I defiantly will be buying more items from South Shore they have my T approved stamp! :)

They look really nice on the sides of my tv stand. My living room is super tiny with a huge hutch and these shelves are perfect size not to overwhelm my living room. I think they are a little too expensive for cheaper quality material. There were a few dents and scratches out of the box. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of exchanging them, so I kept the way the were.Overall, I like them and they serve their purpose well for me.

I bought one a few weeks ago to use as a nightstand. I figured if I didn't like it I could use it as a book stand. When the product arrived and my husband and I went to put it together one of the pieces was cracked. I called the company and they sent that piece out within a week and a half with no problem. We finally got to put the item together and it's nice. So we ordered another and again there was a piece cracked and we were missing another piece. Looks like I will be calling the company again. Overall the product is worth the price.

I love it. Looks really nice. I assembled it alone, very easy. The manufacturer included several pieces for a great finish look. I was surprised.

Me entregaron en día y medio, una de las repisas salió defectuosa, al montarla el lado sin pintura quedó visible, está mal perforada.
