Danger Zone: The Elite, Book 1

Boring and disappointing
I am extremely sorry to say for me this book is a huge miss! It’s like seeing Top Gun being launched on the big screen in 2020 without any change: it’s just obsolete and unrealistic. I struggled massively to actual finish the book and if I knew it’s only part one with big “suspense” I would have not finish it as I never intend to read the next one. The two main characters are boring (Panther) with super typical daddy issues and extremely annoying (Solo) to the point I felt he should be arrested for harassment. For me there was nothing sexy in that approach, just the opposite, I was totally turned down by the behavior, nobody can convince me men would accept it just because the relationship is so different in their case. Finally I cannot imagine top military flyers would behave in such a childish and stereotype way.

REALLY?
I'm only about 49% into this story and I've wanted to smack Solo around for about 47% of it. Or call the MP's. This is the first time and the first series by these two ladies that I've absolutely hated one of the MC's. Mateo. HE. NEVER. LETS. UP!!! How can his behavior be good? Or wanted? He should be arrested for stalking. Panther is a nice guy but Solo never gives up with the innuendos. I honestly don't think I can finish this one. Every line I read I end up rolling my eyes. The only time I ever smiled is when Panther put him out of his room. Everything has been a must read by these ladies but this series....uh....I don't think so. Unless I read that Solo has had a personality transplant. Blech.

**4.5 Stars**
**4.5 Stars**OH. EM. GEE. Move over Viper and Angel, I have two new lovers I’m obsessed with. Panther and Solo have stolen my heart and I hooked, I’d not kindly obsessed. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Their banter and connection is amazing. I loved watching them together and then seeing them get together. Holy hot. They fit together perfectly and their personalities compliment each other well. I loved watching Solo push Panther’s buttons until he finally caves and has the hottest night of his life. Panther has a little tease to Solo though they left us both wanting more.As for they cliffhanger ending? I read the last chapter a couple of times hoping that’s not how it ended all we got. My heart wasn’t ready for that. My heart is in my throat experiencing what Solo is feeling and needing more! Especially since they only just got together.I’m seriously dying for book 2, it can’t come soon enough. I’m dying to know what happens.

***5 Stars***
***5 Stars****Shoots a dark look at the authors and then sighs heavily*Ladies, I love your minds and your words and I KNOW that this is just the start of the extremely sm*xyness that is Solo and Panther...but seriously?!?THAT is where you leave things.UGHFine...I will deal...*Takes another breath and prepares to dive into a very vague non spoilery review*This baby was all KINDS of fun. I swear I had ‘Highway to the Danger Zone’ by Kenny Loggins playing in my head the entire time because this book had all the goodness of Top Gun but with a ton more sme%yness. I mean nuclear level sm@xy woven throughout the entire book and add in a whole slew of fun characters. And this baby was addicting. Putting it down simply wasn’t an option. As this is book only the first of Solo and Panther’s journey ~ in more ways than one ~ Imma keep this part brief. I adored them both. They are, at their very cores, good, honorable men who have just the right amount of Alpha to make you all kinds of melty. Their journey, thus far, has been an interesting one and I found myself not favoring one over the other when things got rocky between them. They both have their way of dealing and it only upp’d the chemistry between them and made it quite easy to see how they could both be so much more.As was quite obvious at the start of this review, the ending has me not so happy, BUT I trust these ladies and will practice patience. And I have to put this out there, but the info drop before things got started was all kinds of awesome. It definitely got me ready to dive into this book and meet a whole bunch of new characters that I cannot wait to hang out with again.

Oh so delish !!
These two authors know how to write a great story , awesome characters , red hot chemistry between Panther & Solo , and some angst thrown in.It’s clear the research the authors have done , so much detail and insight into the life of an elite navy pilot. Yes it has a few top gun theme to it , and lots of fun banter between the characters as you would expect.I normally read the end of a book first but had got a few chapters in and hadn’t read the end, then I saw a post that advised of a cliff hanger , so straight to the back I went. Prepare your heart , I almost wanted to jump up out of my seat as Solo did. I had to tell myself there are 2 more books it’s all good. Two more very love able men in these authors catalogue, cannot wait to read the next 2 books

Danger Zone will leave you begging for more!!
Danger Zone is a book filled with white-hot chemistry and innuendo for the ages. From the first page, I was hooked. Panther and Solo are both bada** fighter pilots and push and pull between them was perfection! All I could think about while I was reading was the movie Top Gun, but Danger Zone took it to an entirely different level of HOT. Solo and Panther are each other polar opposites, but that doesn’t stop the attraction from building, and escalating because Solo wants to drag Panther out of his comfort zone. I seriously think I needed a fan while I was reading has some epically steamy moments. Prepare yourself accordingly! That ending though. I can’t believe it ended like that, but what a place to end it. Be prepared for the cliffhanger of all cliffhanger’s my friends, but thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long for the next book in the series to know what is going to happen next! This is the first book I’ve read from Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank and it will not be the last!

Astonished it was this bad
Have absolutely loved Ella Frank Temptation series. Characters were great, drama, romance, etc. Fabulous. The following Confession series were okay...but I could see some of the 'meh' setting in.Then things took a turn for the worst. Didn't gel with the Angel, Viper series, poorly written, little narrative content. MC's irritating. So, bought this one thinking hope the author has bucked up? Nope. Like another reviewer I absolutely loathed one of the MC's, Solo, to the point I wanted him out of the novel. First time I have felt like that.Such a pity. I will not be reading any more of Elite series, and will think of picking up another novel from Ms Frank. Maybe this collaboration is not working well? Am frankly really surprised by all the 4 and 5 star reviews. Good lord, really ? Well, I am looking for something different obviously.

That ending..
That was a terribly cruel way to end a book, my heart is a mess. I don’t know if I need to breathe into a brown paper bag or if I need to have a wee cry.Panther is an absolute darling. My heart aches for him. He walks around feeling like he's constantly under someone else’s watchful eyes because he doesn’t want the world to know his secret.Solo is the opposite, he’s open, carefree, reckless and he pretends that other people’s actions and words don’t bother him. I think he’s just so used to blowing stuff off to protect himself that he does it without realising.I loved all of the side characters. It wasn’t a full on onslaught of characters and names all at once so it made them stand out, and memorable.I’m gutted I didn’t wait longer to read this because now I have to wait until the 27th for the next one to be released. That’s 23 days too many away!!“I couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to feel so comfortable in my skin. Even for one day.”

Great start to another fantastic series
What a great start to a new series, well written as usual. Anything Ella Frank is an automatic buy for me. Panther / Grant and Solo / Mateo are super hot. They are both slightly damaged but likeable and lovable characters and there is a back story waiting to be explained with Solo. The ending had my heart in my mouth and I can't wait to see what their reaction to that will be. Captain Hughes needs a good kick up the bum though. The side characters are all very well written and entertaining too making this a very highly recommended read.

This is why I love M/M romances!!
So excited about a new series from my favourite authors!! Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine are one of my few one-click authors and I don't even have to read the Blurb for the books because I know I’m gonna love them!Danger Zone is the first book in The Elite Series and boy was my kindle in danger of catching fire🤣 The story is so perfectly written that I felt every word and don't get me started on the cliffhanger that made me pull my hair out and beg for more!Solo and Panther are perfect for each other and the push and pull between them is crazy.I laughed, swooned, fanned myself😜 and in the end screamed!!I need the next book like yesterday!
