I got a great deal on a good quality used hybrid, but after six years and thousands of miles, the brakes needed attention, badly. This was my first time using flexible noodles; I'm dressing the bike up with a few gold accents here or there, so figured, why not.$7 cables, $6 for 4 sets of pads, $6 noodles, about 20 minutes of cleaning and adjusting, and we're back in business! It stops perfectly, and the brake levers spring back in place with the fresh crispness of a spring morning.Note: There's a plastic sleeve inside the noodle that looks like it's solid, but is filled with grease to lubricate the cable: just push it through and you're good.

Only four stars because the rubber booth doesn’t fit. Just like the other reviews, it get loose easily. I was able to use the old ones which are perfect fit. The noodles looks better than the stiff ones. Hope this doesn’t rust.

**update**I usually don't do updates. But I'm impressed with this one. I had my bike out on my balcony for the entire winter. Rain snow sleet etc... these brake cable covers are in mint condition.Look at the difference from the original stiff brake covers compared to these.....get themWay better than the stiff ones. I used this on a foldable bike. Its flexible and bends as I fold the bike. It comes with a plastic tube inside the metal casing.***It has a plug of oil in the plastic tube at the tip. It's not solid just push the brake cable through and the oil plug will lubricate it and slide in better.

I ordered the guide pipes because I was looking for cable boots. I Thought they looked interesting, and worth a try. The inside plastic guide needed to be opened up before installing and the boots do not stay in place.

I never even thought about how much better a spring would be vs the standard rigid metal, but it's great! It looks better and helps maintain proper tension in your brake line.

I'd never split or joined a chain before but after watching a few videos on Youtube and buying this set, I did it very easily. Happy with this product and would recommend.

Thought these were a bit of a gimmick to start with but they really do reduce friction. Easy to fit but the rubber boot isn't a great fit so keep your old ones

Good things. They do their job well. Just be aware that they are quite stiff so take some “shaping” which an easily be done
