Only if you can live without Google services
I bought this primarily for doing some app development and because it appeared to have a decent CPU/GPU combo. That part works well, it scores well in 3d benchmarks and runs the game I was working on nicely. However, because of the US government falling out with Huawei you won't get any google services on here such as gmail, youtube, play store etc which makes it quite like any normal Android tablet out there. Huawei have their own store, but it's not great to use in comparison to the play store. It is actually possible to restore google services on this, and I've done so - but it's not exactly easy and involves some firmware replacements and some weird apps. With that done, for me, it's a great tablet - though I would have scored lower if I couldn't have restored these.

A very capable tablet at a great price.
This thing is awesome. The performance is top notch, the screen is great, battery life excellent and the features (eg wireleas and reverse wireless charging) are all there.Obviously, no Google services out of the box but there's a reasonable selection of alternatives. YouTube vanced works perfectly for YouTube, but there are other apps like eBay that won't work without Google services even if loaded from somewhere like the Amazon app store.Following a YouTube guide, you should be able to get Google stuff up and running with googlefier, and with that done, it's a faultless tablet for a lot less money than the competition.

Great audio visuals, some drawbacks
Read several reviews and concluded for my needs this gave much better value for money than other brands. Note Matepad Pro 10.8 with 128GB with 6GB RAM; used for music, streaming services, reading, audio books, photo viewing, browsing, instant messaging, and some word or excel editing. The sound and picture quality are amazing for the money (£350 at the time). Spotify, Netflix, Amazon apps all run like a dream. It feels and looks well made, and is fast and responsive. Battery life is impressive. Really like the device colour.Their version of Android is user friendly and intuitive. That space is expandable via a nano SD card, and there is external drive connectivity via USB c are definite pluses (both untested by me).Now the downsides:As a user of Apple too, I was hoping to make use of Google services and apps - photos - which can integrate seamlessly with iOS. This the drawback and reason for 4* not 5*. The dispute between Google / US and Huawei means that Google apps (while downloadable from places like apkpure for example) do not work or cannot be logged into. We can still access these via a browser like DuckDuckGo, but that needs a good Internet connectivity to be workable.Nano SD storage cards are not widely produced and are more expensive than micro SD.Overall, a super tablet if you can tolerate the Google issue.

Great hardware, NO GOOGLE, used product
The hardware is very nice. Its fast, has a great screen, very nice sound, and responsive to touch.HOWEVER IT DOES NOT COME WITH ANY GOOGLE APPS LIKE PLAYSTORE OR GMAIL OR GOOGLE MAPS PREINSTALLED AND THEY ARE VERY HARD TO INSTALL YOURSELF.MOREOVER the ONE I received was clearly not a new product. The box showed the clear signs of being opened and the tablet and charger used. So technically it should have been labelled as and sold as second hand.

Harmony OS is not harmonious
The lack of Google support makes using this device extremely hard. I'm a geek that just got tired of having to look for my favourite apps from places other than the Huawei app gallery, mainly because the app gallery is full of second rate apps that don't need Google play services to work. That's not many. It's going back.
