Step Brothers (Theatrical Widescreen Edition)

Although this was a very funny movie, this was simply a repackaging of night at the Roxbury. The storylines are just too similar. Yes they are both very funny movies but they are just way too similar for me to give this the holy grail of all comedies. I will continue to watch this movie over and over again. Buyer we warned.I didn't notice any difference between rated and unrated.

A movie that still holds up today. Lots of funny parts and well thought out.

One of the all time great movies you cannot go wrong with this movies

Comedy is an individual type of thing - but every so often a comedy comes along that seems to speak to a vast majority of people and this movie is one of those. This is not the first, or will it be the last, movie to have a pseudo cult following of people who can recite every line - but you do not have to look far to find someone who can do that. In fact, with this movie, you likely know someone who offers up certain lines without much prompting - "So much space for activities." It is R rated for a reason, so put the kids to bed and prepare to laugh - and don't be surprised if you find yourself saying - "We can talk about this all night but are you going to invest or not."

Soooo funny. But, what a pair of pathetic losers. It is their gross lack of any mentality that makes this movie hilarious . However, there is one thing that I am NOT happy about and that is that the "extras" with the movie are actually NON EXISTANT. I tried four times to get the extras to work, but to no avail. As a BIG DOWNER, a caption states that "these extras are not available with this movie." Then why apply the details that they ARE, WHEN CLEARLY, THEY ARE NOT. But, as for the movie itself, go get it. You'll love it.....(and just don't expect the extras).

"Step Brothers" is a winning comedy featuring the excellent comic talents of Will Ferrell and John C Reilly. They play two middle aged men who become step brothers after their parents get married.Both of these men live like overgrown adolescents and they are humoured and cossetted in this lifestyle by their parents . Initially they don't get on, but they soon become friends and end up going job seeking together. The film is consistently funny throughout, with plenty of humourous one liners ,witty dialogue and embarrassing moments. Ferrell and Reilly display excellent on screen chemistry and superb comic timing. "Step Brothers " is definitely one of the best comedies that I have seen for some time.

This was one of those films that I originally saw a preview trailer for and never ended up getting around to watching until recently and I am delighted that I didn't just forget about this one as it really does just work between these hilarious actors (Will Ferrell & John C Reilly) as they have excellent chemistry and are both able to give amazing performances that make this film a standout one for me and one that now has pride of place on my DVD shelf ready for when I am looking for a simple film that will make me laugh. Well worth checking out.

"Step Brothers" is amazing and breaks so many comedy conventions (and boundaries), just as its predecessors. In Adam Mc Kays movies (Anchorman / Ricky Bobby), the main fun is triggered by the protagonists being totally abnormal and stupid characters who are at a time confronted with the real world. Like in Anchorman: "Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart." (...) "Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder". In Step Brothers, the idea alone, to put two (very) grownups into the roles of 10 years olds, is hilarious. I hope they stick to that recipe.

I LOVE this film!If you are a fan of the comedy of will ferrell then this is for you!I watch this on a regular basis and still find it hilarious every time!Originally when I got a blu-ray player I only intended on getting the big budget special effect films because they showed off the HD very well.. I saw this for cheap on amazon and decided to upgrade from the dvd version I had.. Obviously looks brilliant in HD but the special features make it worth while! The gag reel has me in stitches without fail and the deleted scenes are hilarious which is rare! Check out the catalina wine mixer scene set in dereks office. How it did not make it in to the film I will never know!
