Reign of Ash (The Ascendant Kingdoms Saga, 2) Paperback – April 1, 2014

I've become a loyal fan of Gail Martin and am looking forward to more of the Ascendant Kingdoms saga. It's been action packed but not gorey. The characters are down to earth and the dialogue flows. I've enjoyed the occasional humor.. Needless to say Gail Martin has become one of my favorite authors.

Reign Of Ash is a strong story and a worthy sequel to Ice Forged. Gail Z Martin does a wonderful job of not just continuing the momentum of the series but also building upon it. The world she creates and the characters she peoples it with are believable and enjoyable. The concept of a post apocalyptic medieval society makes for a very intriguing story. I truly enjoyed reading this story and am eagerly awaiting the next book!

This book wasn't quite as good as the first in the series. It wasn't until I neared the end that I was hooked and couldn't put the book down. Now I'm eager to get book 3 and find out the "rest of the story"!

Very good book, enjoyed the whole series, have passed this on to two of my sons, and they also have enjoyed this series !

Great story and great writing. I have loved every thing Gail Martin has written. Look forward to continuing the story.

I read the first book and could hardly wait for the second. I was not disappointed.Started right were the last one left off.No rehashing of the last book.You should read this!

This was an excellent book 📚 not as good or gripping as the first, it was a bit predictable in what was going to happen. As they are sailing home you get both good and not so good reunions. There is a lot of war/fighting in this book but its not heavy like say lord of the rings.This is a good series and I'm counting down the days till I can get book 3 as I'm interested in what's going to happen now that he is a warlord so hurry on 23.4.15Anyone that likes fantasy books should enjoy these they have magic, plots, prisons, fights, love, vampires, betrayal and can be funny in parts it makes it good read.

Good condition good writing

Loved the first part - love everything she writes! I am re-reading part one before I start this one, to remind myself of the story. I wish my authors would write a bit quicker!!!

I really enjoyed this new offering, not the usual sword and sorcery, vampires and werewolves saga. A much more human and flawed hero.
