We love the butter bell. We eat toast every morning and it spreads so easy and so smooth. We have gone through more butter than we ever had. It’s easy to change the water out to keep the butter fresh and easy to clean when placing new butter it when we run out. A must have. We use it every morning.

The answer is YES! For years I bought butter with canola oil for easier spreading, but have felt annoyed with the extra cost. When we renovated our kitchen, I took the plunge and bought this adorable butter bell. Mine is blue (so pretty!!), but there are such a variety of colors you’re sure to find one you like.The bell holds a stick of butter (soften it first, really compact it to get the air out!), and I change the cold water out about three times a week. The butter is perfectly soft for spreading. I’m in love!!If you’ve got a larger family, maybe look for a bigger one - we’re empty-nesters now, and I refill mine about every week-and-a-half. But I’m not kidding when I said this little device is life-changing – at least as far as buttered bread or bagels is concerned.

My old butter bell finally cracked and I'm glad I chose this one as a replacement. It's a great color and I like the matte finish, and the ceramic mixture used is apparently lead- and cadmium-free. And it keeps butter fresh and spreadable, so it's an all-around winner in my eyes.

It is as advertised. It looks nice and is easy to clean. The butter is not as soft as I imagined but it still spreads better than refrigerated butter.

Recently we switched from tub butter to grass fed stick butter, which spreads like a rock. So, I searched for a butter crock that could sit on the countertop. Low and behold, I found this wonderful, cute item. Butter stays soft and spreadable. We love it! Thanks!

I bought the sky blue and it is so beautiful on my counter! As far as the butter bell workings, it provides very easy to spread butter, not too soft, not too hard. Sometimes I even pour my ghee into it, place in the fridge to solidify and then take it out and leave it on my counter even for weeks. It is just fine. One thing though, if you use a lot of butter this would be too small for you. It is perfect for me! Well designed and seems like good quality ceramics.

Love using this butterbell! It has changed our life. My husband was very skeptical about another gimmicky product I was gonna buy. But he has been converted! The butter is always fresh and it is easy to clean. When we need to reload, we buy a new block of butter from the shop and leave it on the counter for the day and then put it into the bell with a spoon pressing the butter against the wall a bit at a time until there is no more butter I can stuff into it. It works well. Would recommend if you use butter on a daily basis.

This is a brilliant product, keeps butter spreadable. Holds a small amount of butter so less chance it will go rancid before being used up. Make sure bowl is completely dry before pressing butter into it otherwise it comes loose and falls into the water.

Keeps butter really well. Only little annoyance is that sometimes the butter falls out of the dish into the water.
