AN ASTOUNDING BOOK !!!
"Called by the Bear" by V. Vaughn has written a remarkable Story-Line and plot. There is great diversity in her characters and they have their own unique characteristics.I fell right into the story from the beginning where Carly is in a passion filled dream and a horrific nightmare. I like the way Violet intertwines Carly's dreams. This is also exciting for me as I am a big shifter reader and this isn't like any I have read before.Part 1Carly tries to remember the tattoo that she saw in her dream. She knew that it held great importance but it faded away before she could draw it. Before her first client she suddenly sees in her mind's eye the tattoo and so she quickly draws it. The Carly breaks her own cardinal rule and gives herself her first and last tattoo, A tribal paw print on the inside of her wrist.By this point, Violet has me completely immersed into her world and loving it.Carly wakes from her dream with a cry. It's the same passionate dream and still with teeth sinking into her skin. She experiences fear and pain but she knows this is something she has to follow, follow her fate. When she arrives at work Sierra is already there drawing. She see's Carly's tattoo and wants to know where she saw that pattern. Carly told her that she drew it from her dreams. Sierra asks about the dreams and it is apparent that they are having the same types of dreams but Sierra isn't having the biting in hers.Sierra gets Carly to place the same paw print onto her breast. Sierra yells at Ray to come and look at Carly's new Tattoo. He comes and looks at her wrist and gets angry because there is nothing there and he thinks they are trying to play a trick on him. But he just can't see it, amazing.I am also amazed at how Violet has twisted the invisibility of the tribal paw into her story-line.They both fill the pull so much stronger once they had their tattoo prints inked on so they make the decision to head out to find their fate together. The only thing Carly feels right know is that she must head East so they do and along the way they met two other women who see the Paw tattoo and they discuss having the same dreams. After Lily gets her tattoo placed on her hip she says that she will follow in a couple of days. Taylor gets her tattoo and can follow in a week or two after she sells her business. As Carly and Sierra are traveling they get the impression that they need to head towards Maine so they do. Then they are directed to a specific town called Bangor and that their heading for some kind of tree farm. When they arrive they pull into the first place they see called Bear Mountain Tree Farm.Pulling up to the building Annie runs out to meet them and take then to where they will me Brady and Keith. Brady has eyes only for Carly and Sierra for Keith.Part two As the two couples continue to get to know each other they decide to go on a picnic. The ladies learn that their fate had called them to were-bears and not just mountain men. That evening Carly goes to Brady's home and they continue the Kissing and cuddling which turns into so much more, They end up have an amazing bout of heated passionate sex and Brady likes Carly's tattoo and then he doesn't think about it but he bits her on the wrist , on the paw tattoo. When they get the bleeding to stop, fire races up Carly's arm and throughout her body. It appears she is going through the change. On the day that Carly and Brady have their wedding Victor appears to stand in for his father. However Victor is a very unlike able ass. While Sierra is talking to some of the guest's Carly notices that Victory is headed in a straight trajectory for Sierra.Victor grabs her arm and she tries to pull away but he is to strong, Carly starts to run for Victor but doesn't make it before he bites her. Carly picks Victor up and throws him into a building then drops and begins to suck out Victors Venom. They Carly yells for Keith to get over there to bite Sierra hoping to replace Victors mating bite.Once Sierra and Keith are home, Ice runs through Sierra's veins. Victor is talking to her in her head the way her mate Keith is.Part 3The men have set a group out to find Victor but no one can locate him.In the mean time Lily and Taylor both show up.Things continue to get worse between Sierra and Keith as Victor talks to her all the while she is making love to Keith. He just won't stay out of her head. They are going to try and find a way to take Victor down it is the only way to release Sierra. That or Victor having sex with another which he refuses to do.I can't wait for the next part books 4-6. It shall proved to be stimulating'I was given a copy for an honest review

Good Story
Carly and Sierra have the same recurring dream involving a tattoo and men changing into bears. Together they embark on a journey to see where it will take them. What they find will have life altering effects that will change the outcome of their lives. This shifter story will draw you I and keep you glued to the pages from start to finish.

Amazing
Absolutely loved this book. I really like that you get to read what each main character is thinking instead of being from one point of view. Can't wait to read the next book.

Interesting
I personally would have enjoyed this book if it wasn't all about sex, dream sex, nothing but sex. CHEAP PORN! Under current storyline is good just get rid of the sex content build the story from that and this would of been a hell of a story. This has 2 females with 2 males, and the clan. I am not sure if there is supposed to be main characters, main female/male, or what the hell is going on in that sense.

Really a Great Series of Books
Having read this when it first came out but being really sick about a year and a half ago leaving me not remembering a lot I decided to read it again. It was as wonderful this time. A werebear clan who needs women who can bear children since they have had no children in 25 years but out a calling for women with any werebear descent. Carly is one of the women called along with her best friend and two others that they meet along their way to the clan. She realized she had found what she wanted as soon as she met the man she had been dreaming about.. He is the alpha or Prime of the clan and she turns out to be an alpha herself as well as his Prima which is something he has to learn to deal with. As she also discovers who her mother is and why she wasn't part of her life. There are three werebear clans in their area. You get to discover how a human drawn into this new life full of discovery and truths she didn't know builds a new life.

Dream Believers.......
Tattoo artist Carly Cutler keeps having a recurring dream every night and a painting of a tattoo, so she drew it and found that her dreams became more intense after she got the tat. She kept dreaming of this guy that turned into a bear. She felt as if the dream had meaning and she needed to listen to what it was saying.Sierra was having the same dream about the tat and had to have one too. She was having the same problems that Carly was having. After the tat the dreams became more intense. The girls decide to embark on a journey to see where their dream voices take them. They felt these men calling to them. They never dreamed of the girls they would met along the way. What does this mean, what destiny awaits them?

I absolutely fell in love with the characters in this book
Wow! Another extraordinary version of the paranormal. I absolutely fell in love with the characters in this book. I love the way the author has brought them all together and intertwined their stories to form what is so far, a beautiful rendition of love and to what lengths we may go to, to not only find it, but to keep it. The story starts with Carly, and her best friend, Sierra, two voluptuous, beautiful women, working and living in California, and both experiencing some extremely erotic dreams with a few wildly obscene parts to them, and afraid to tell the other. When Carly, a tattoo artist by trade, gives herself a tattoo of a bear paw of which she has been dreaming about, Sierra notices it and wants one the same. She tells Carly she’s been dreaming about it also, but when they go to show it to their boss, and Carly’s ex, they realize that they are the only ones who can see it. This is when they know that they are different, and are being called upon. They make a life-changing decision to pack up and leave, following their instincts, on a journey that will bring them to the other side of the country, and on the way, will meet Lily and Taylor, two more women who have answered the call and will join them eventually, on their journey. So much waits for them when they arrive in Bangor, Maine, and life as they knew it, will be forever changed. All they need to do is open their hearts and minds. An absolute charm of a story, but this is only book one and leaves us hanging from a bit of a cliff. A little disappointing that it wasn’t a complete tale, but still worth the read. Can’t wait to read the rest.(less)

A good read
I enjoyed the premise of the story. The characters are relatable. I think that each character should have their own book, there was a lot going on in just this 1book. Would definitely read it again.

Enjoyable
I loved the premis and how they put out the call for mates. The only downside for me personally was it being first person. I will be reading more in the series to see how it all unfolds....
