Not a true 20 quart size but is an excellent pot!
I’ve used this stockpot a few times now for my canning projects and am loving it! I researched stainless stockpots and determined the best quality construction to look for is 18/10 tri-ply so based on Black Friday deal options I felt this one would be a good option. I love it - it has a good weight, I can trust that it won’t burn what I’m cooking, and it cleans up to a mirror finish with Dawn Powerwash. The lid style is what I was looking for too - a glass dome shape with a vent. I’m pleased enough that I can overlook the fact that it’s realistically an 18 quart pot . It’s plenty big enough for my needs.

GREAT 12 QUART STOCKPOT
I ordered a 12 quart stockpot for making gumbo and soups. Sometimes an 8 quart pot is just not quite large enough, especially when the goods get near the top of the pot.... no room to stir and mix. The 12 quart pot arrived, and I put it to use that day making a large pot of soup. HERE'S the Goofy Thing. On the bottom side of this "12 quart" pot is the wording "Camerons 16 Quart Made in China". Yep, Sixteen (16) Quarts.... not 12. I thought I had ordered the wrong pot, but I was still satisfied. Several days later, I looked closely INSIDE the pot, and saw faint markings indicating 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 Qts. The 12 quart capacity would be at the tippy, tippy top of the rim. . So I used a 1 quart measuring cup to find out the real capacity of this pot. It is 12 quarts. The pot is easy to clean, NO rust on the handle rivets, and it stays bright and shiny. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.

Quality is expensive
4 stars because even cheap stock pots have a steam vent in the lid. Disappointed this expensive one does not have it.

Perfect for large batch Italian marinara.
Perfect for large batch Italian marinara. I couldn’t be happier with this 16 quart sauce pot. I have been cooking homemade marinara sauce for over 60 years, and always wanted one that I could fit four number 10 cans(106oz x 4) Plus Italian hot sausage and pork pieces. This pot performs beautifully but you must cook on low heat, start at number three on a gas stoveFor first hour and then turn it down to number two setting for the next three hours. Stir every 30 minutes to prevent sticking, since any pot we’ll stick on the bottom unless it is cooked on low heat and stirred frequently. The boil is never a heavy boil, it is a slow simmering boil. And I cook my sauce with the cover on until the cooking process is over then I uncover it to let it cool. You can spend hundreds more on a similar pot but not get better results then you will get with a pot. By the 16 Court you will not go wrong.

Quality Pot for a reasonable price.
I've had this pot for several months now, and have used it to make chowders, Sunday gravy, and boil potatoes. It performs excellently, and expect this will be my go to pot when I next make fresh beef stock, and anytime I need to make food for a crowd. The pot is well constructed, and believe it will give many years of service. The pot conducts heat well, handles stay cool enough to grab after being on the burner for several hours. My other pots are Calphalon (all of my pieces were produced in the USA prior to the sale to Newell Rubbermaid), a Le Creuset, and an old Salad Master stock pot. Over the past year I have been adding All Clad to my cooking arsenal, so I feel I am familiar with quality cookware. I had wanted to purchase an All Clad stock pot, but the 16 quart was only available in their line with a brushed aluminum exterior, and that size was a Williams-Sonoma exclusive, and the cost was over $450. I really wanted a pot with tri-ply construction. I have 2 pieces of Calphalon Tri-ply stainless Steel which are also well constructed, even though produced in China. So I took a chance on this pot, and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Great soup pot.
It was a gift for our son in law who likes to make large amounts of soup and spaghetti sauce. He does love it with the thick bottom the pot really holds the heat.

This is a well made heavy pot.
I liked everything about it but it was too low for jam making, jam splattered above it while cooking.I found it too heavy for me to lift.
