Johnstone's Exterior Hardwearing Gloss - Barolo 750ml

I tried Johnstones exterior paint for the first time having seen the good results on a neighbour's front door who used this brand. I've been a loyal Dulux user for over 30 years but the last time I painted my exterior window frames and window sills with Dulux exterior gloss the paint went yellow and began to flaked off in less than 2 years. This Johnstones exterior white gloss went on beautifully and left a lovely shiny gloss finish. Let's see if it stands up to the 6 year guarantee!

Only just used this paint and I must say it looks great now finished. We painted a garage door with it and it looks so much better.

Seemed like a great product. Vibrant colour, thick and covers well. The first coat dried to a perfect mirrored finish and I was really pleased. Unfortunately, when I applied the second coat (after I'd given the first a light fine sand) all my brush strokes remained and I was left with an almost wood grain effect. Not the end of the world because it still looks good. May have been something I did wrong.

Beautiful paint which goes on easily and delivers a lovely shine and finish. Used this after using a tin of Dulux and the difference is chalk and cheese. Dulux seems to have forgotten how to make paints

I am told that Johnstone’s have stopped making this paint. I hope that this is not true because it is a heavy duty, long lasting paint. I have used it before on my outside gate and garage doors and it has weathered well and lasted many years.

Takes a long time to dry, but paints on very well, quick paint and amazing shine as you apply it, looks good now after 4 hours too. Strong smell but that means it's a good quality chemicals to go off and dry. Very happy so far 5 star.

Worked out cheaper to buy this 2.5 ltr tin for the same price or less than most 750 ml tins of similar red gloss.Doddle to work with, on 2 steel garage doors by brush application, with very minimal runs, which soon brushed out and ran no more..In my opinion Good quality, Good coverage and Good value, therefore a no brainer to buy again.

Paint arrived in the time stated. I have used Johnstone's exterior gloss before and found it brilliant to apply and long lasting. I have ordered this to repaint the front on an outside building that was last painted with this paint 8years ago and is only now showing signs of deterioration. This building front is east facing and gets the full force of wind rain and snow in the winter.
