Great bang for your buck!
Let me start by saying I’m not a professional luthier. I own a number of guitars and I thoroughly enjoy both playing and working on them. I bought this set in particular because it comes with a straight edge and radius gauges. From my perspective these—and particularly the straight edge—are great! Everything seems to be accurate and was better quality than I expected. These are definitely not Stew Mac quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. My only problem with this set is that the edges of these tools have not been ground completely smooth—they’re not rough, they have an edge that can scratch your instrument if you are not mindful. It’s easy enough to avoid, but it is a detail like this that separates a lower end set from the high end stuff.

Excellent bundle of necessary guitar maintenance and set up tools
Great products in the bundle. I have always set up my own guitars using various methods. I have a high end ESP that I picked up pretty cheap because of fret buzz issues. I tried to set it up and it still buzzed. I bought some luthier tools, straightened the neck, dressed the frets, polished the nut etc. It still wasn't perfect. I ordered this set and sure enough, the neck had a very slight bow, I found some high frets with the fret rocker, and my string radius was off by such a small margin, but could definitely feel it. It's perfect now. I have since done the same thing to all my guitars and my brothers as well. Made my life easier

Works, and thats what matters.
Hit the edges of the fret rocker with some 1000 paper to take the knife edges off and then check straightness (machinist gauge). I found one side a bit off when it rocked fret that it should not have rocked. Ran it agains a high quality file several times and we are good to go. I expected this for the price and am not complaining. Just be aware. The radius gauges are handy to have. The neck gauge was right on.

Wrong parts, and mislabeled. Sharp edges on metal parts.
Unfortunately I received two 20" understring radius gauges, but no 9.5" understring radius gauge. The overstring radius gauges are also clearly mislabeled: the smaller and larger radius sides were mixed up! They also have sharp edges that could scratch your guitarAt this point, I don't trust the radius tools and that makes me not trust the straight edges or action gauge either. You can probably still get some jobs done with them. At least they are cheap. I did get a couple guitars set up OK anyhow. But I wouldn't buy this again, and I will probably gradually replace all these tools.

No where near the tolerance required to use the tools (especially the Straight Edge)
Straight Edge has extreme variance in the "straightness" of the edge. It's like they either stamped it out or cut it and never actually flattened the straight edge.Explains the price. If you have the tools to level it easily then it might be worth the price. You can level it using a long fret leveler but do it at your own risk.Would not recommend.

Not the best material, but it does what it needs to.
Pieces seem pretty accurate and you can’t beat the price. The material is sharp around the edges. For “at home” setups it works, certainly not luthier quality.

Needs instructions
The only thing a out it no instructions with it. I guess they think you know how to use it.

Finally i can do proper setups
Finally i can do proper setups on my guitars! The ruler is sturdy, i think 3mm thick, the other parts are nice, but you have to be careful as some of them have some sharp edges. That multigauge thing with lots of blades is oily as heck, you'll have to wash it a lot.Overall a solid 9/10

Avoid buying this set of tools.
To be honest I was very disappointed with the quality of these tools. Especially the notched neck ruler which is far too short and the measurements don’t match any of the fret boards on my guitars, Fender or Musicman. Would not recommend to anyone.

Limited use for bass
The kit is ok But the neck straight edge tool doesn’t really work on a regular scale neck

Good tools for making up a starter kit to get into Luthering.
These tools will work well to make up a starter luthier kit but I can see myself replacing all of these tools for much better quality ones later on.

Everything to get setup
This kit is great, it contains all the specialist tools you need to setup most guitars. I would have given 5 stars but one of the radius gauges had the wrong sizes cut into it, luckily the thinner one was fine so I was able to use that instead, but worth double checking before first use
