The distiller works great, zero issues besides the water container cracking and needing to be replaced with something else. That said, my water has a lot of calcium and that stuff smells nasty when the distiller finishes its cycle.Over time I realized that if I stop the distiller sooner than it runs out of water, the bad smells and burned residue on the bottom of the unit went away.I now use the distiller on a 3 hour 45 minute timer. That leaves about an inch of water on the bottom. Just toss the remaining amount in the sink.Also for when you do need to clean it, Citric acid works well. I boil a pot of it and pour it in. It eats most of the residue away without scrubbing.

My husband uses distilled water for treatments. Lately stores have run out of it far too often, leaving me to waste time hunting to maintain our supply. When I looked into it I was surprised how inexpensively we could make our own and eliminate one worry. It works great, processes six liters quietly in 4 1/2 hours, and only takes a few minutes to clean with a bit of white vinegar.

9 months later the distiller cord shorted out and the machine will no longer work. Product support only lasts 6 months and return eligibility has run out. Just about broke even in price with electricity used and not buying bottled distilled water.

I bought this product to replace the countertop water distiller that stopped working. My experience is that these devices only work for about a year under our use. We use it quite often, probably five times a week. Our well water contains hydrogen sulfide and is not pleasant to smell or drink. This device outperforms water filters at improving the taste of the water.I tested the water after distillation. It had a little particulate matter, probably from the small carbon filter in the spout. Otherwise it was good. The main disadvantage of distillers is they use a fair amount of electricity. They also take a bit of time, so we don’t leave the house while this is running because it is a heat producing electrical device and a performance problem could cause a fire.So far this is performing very well.

My husband and I are so glad we got this. We both use CPAP machines and had a hard time during the pandemic finding distilled water. A cashier told me about this so I got it. All you do is fill up the reservoir and turn it on. In a few hours you have distilled water. We do clean ours everytime because we have such hard water but even that is super easy. I highly recommend this!
