I am a verified buyer! Mail drop slot appears to be well made and is aluminum with a spring closure allowing vertical or horizontal installation. I am pleasantly pleased with purchase. The only ( minor) added feature would be if the mail slot would be available in colors - flat black, white, or ?

It's missing the back plate.
I returned it because the door will look ugly from inside. It needs "something" to cover the hole but still allow the mail to drop.

Install mail slot in garage door
This product is flexible in that it can be installed in wood or garage doors. There are no screw/bolt heads on the outside of the door. It would have been nice if they provided a drill/slot template. Presents an attractive clean look on the door.

Great Design- Measurements are for the whole piece not the opening
I think they need to list the opening size, not just the size of the whole piece. This was needed urgently to pass items thought without contact, but once we got it the size, was for all whole unit, and out paperwork is 9 inches wide. Does not work, it would be nice to have all information, as it , is very study and would have loved to use it.

Pretty standard mail slot
I made this into a window mail slot for my house. It worked well enough, but its pretty poorly designed. I don't like that the threaded inserts that attach to the slot face move around. It make the whole thing feel cheap. But I suppose you get what you pay for.

Solid aluminum
Not stamped aluminum but rather extruded making it heavier, just what I wanted.

Looks clean and smooth
We replaced the old cover for our mail slot. All the ones we could find were very expensive. We were sceptical if this one would be effective since it was so much cheaper than the others. But we were pleasantly surprised with how nice it looks. It was very easy to install.

Not very strong, when I secured it bolts push metal out
The bolts went to far and separated the frame which I had to bend Bach, not impressed. Very thin and weak

Doesn’t include an inside plate
Works ok outside, but there’s no plate for the inside side of the door, so I’m left with no finition. The spring is quite strong, my mailman hurt himself putting his hand in the slot. Not a great fit for my needs.
