I purchased these over the summer to target smallmouth bass and walleye, but ended up using them on a dropshot rig in local ponds with good success for largemouth bass. As others noted, they look amazing right out of the package, but the stick-on eyes don't last a long time. I haven't found the presence/lack of the eye to make a difference in effectiveness. I did notice that the embedded holographic braided tubing really adds to the life of the bait - especially if you rig the bait with so that the hook goes through that webbing. The bait will not easily tear-off and you'll be able to use it for a number of fish. The flash that these baits have due to the embedded holographic material is what really sets them apart from other similar baits. When the bait rolls onto its side on the fall it really gets the attention of fish in the area.

I have purchased this exact item as well as other variations / sizes of them. The baits I received fell apart the first time I put a hook through it to fish. In the past I could reuse the bait at least a couple times, this time they just fell apart, and could not be used again. This is a pricey bait, and just to use it once is not acceptable to me at least.

I bought these minnows because I could not find what I was looking for. They do not last and are not meant to take on and off the hook.

I just got them in the mail today and took them to the local pond. I hardly catch largemouth there except dawn or dusk. Today about 4pm I dropshotted the sassy shad 3" and got 3 in a row then 2 more in 2 hours. Thats the most I ever caught in a day there. There aren't even shad in the pond. I usually use rainbow trout rapalas because they stock them. I thrown senkos and spinnerbaits without this success. I just ordered 2 more packs and am trying the perch color. I can' get over how effective these baits are. Maybe Lunkerhunt could make a rainbow trout color. I would definitely buy them.

Kinda pricey but hard to find in my city.

I want to love this Bento Bait. It looks so real and has such a cool action when it's in the water. The size is perfect. It's really cool looking.I have never caught anything with it :( The fish are scared of it or something. I rigged it like the package showed and I have never gotten a bite while my friend is pulling them out of the water with a real minnow hooked on his line.oh the eyes fall off this bait most of the time too.It's still cool and I still have hopes for it. Possibly I bought the wrong color for lake Erie I'll probably try Bento baits again.

Haven't caught anything yet with them but they are good quality as I have bought other colors and they worked well.
