WB111S Premium Black Silicone Wiper Blade, 11" (Pack of 1)

I've been using Bosch Icons for about a year now and replacing them every six months after little to medium use seemed rather ridiculous, not to mention the price (at least $45 for a 26" and an 18"). I heard many good things about Silblade, so I decided to give it a shot. Less than $40 for a 26" and 18" blade, so I was already happy with that. I've been using the blades for 3 months now (original purchase date December 2, 2010) and they still work like they are brand new. I can't say that they really do last years, but at this rate, they will certainly outlast those Bosch Icons.The only reason why they are almost perfect is because the metal frame that holds the blade down started rusting within days. I wish I had spent the extra dollar (literally) for the Flexblades by Silblade and avoided the whole rust issue to begin with. Luckly, I keep all my wiper blades, so I ended up removing the Silblade wiper and inserting them into my old Bosch frames. It was not a fun process, but it works.Regardless of the little rust snag, I am extremely happy with these wipers and I suggest them to all my friends and family. My best friend keeps telling me "Your wipers are amazing... It's like a new windshield with every swipe!"I couldn't agree more.*Update 6/19/2012* After 1.5 years of usage, these blades are still going strong. There are no cracks or tears in the blades and they still make my windshield look brand new with every swipe.

I just bought my second set form my '99 Odyssey. Set #1 is 4 years old and still performing at about 75% of new. They tend to smear now in lighter rain/mist and when using the washers, so it's time for new ones. 4 years for wipers is unheard of.The best part is how they coat the window and make the water bead up. You can run with the wipers on one lower setting as a result and with the water beading, you can see between the beads rather than trying to look through a film of rain water. Visibility in the wet is dramatically improved as a result.I had two issues. First, they didn't work well at all on the back window. Wasn't long before it chattered a lot. Not sure why. Secondly, the plastic clips broke somewhere after the 2 year mark. They are universal clips and simply aren't' designed to be on the car that long. I called Silblades and the quickly sent out new replacements, no charge and no fuss.Lastly, the Amazon entry needs clarification. It's the same entry from when I bought them and got the traditional style, but the text and the image imply that these are now the new one piece flexblades. The part number listed, however, seems to be for the winter blade. Unnecessarily confusing. I'm expecting the one piece blade, but I guess I'll be happy with the old style.

Some of the guys in a Jeep club I belong to recommended these as the gold standard of wipers. They were not wrong. As soon as I pulled these out of the package it was obvious I was holding a quality product. They feel a little more sturdy and substantial than other wipers with this design and they have a nice powder coated finish that is sure to last without fading from sun, chipping, or rusting from winters.They perform equally well. I'm really particular about a clean clear windshield in the rain or when winter driving puts a film of nasty that cakes on the glass. I'm not sure how these will do in the winter, but we've had a ton of rain and they are a huge improvement over the Bosch wipers I replaced. They are quiet, and flex well to the window. The wrangler window is flat but I bought a pair for my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe, which has a curve notorious for wipers not fitting right on the passenger side, resulting in a big unwiped area. These solve that issue.Update 7/14I've had these wipers almost 3 years now and they look and work like new on both vehicles. We've had a couple bad winters in NY in that time and they show no signs of rust or wear. I do clean the rubber blades now and then when I give the windshield a good scrub. I wipe the blades several times until they don't give off black residue anymore.A few people I have recommended these to have complained that the wipers cause streaks on their windshields. Make sure the windshield is cleaned well. If it still streaks or is an older car, use a car buffer and a really fine polish to clean the glass. Windshields can get small etches that cause the streaking with RainX and other products like it. A car detail guy passed on the tip and seems to solve the issue for most people.
