I have been using 3m purple sheet sandpaper on my wood lathe projects. It cuts very well but wears out extremely fast. This Norton paper cuts better and outlasts everything I have tried. People rave about sandnet mesh for lathe sanding. I wonder if they have ever used any other paper because that stuff wears out about as fast as gator paper and says you can wash it and use it again. For what sheetrock repair? It's definitely not sanding anything again.

this is my go to sandpaper for final sanding and in between coats. does a great job on my any of my palm sanders. You get what you pay for so I highly recommend

Keep smacking this stuff to get the dust out, otherwise it clogs after one pass, and is useless. Smacking it on the soft sanding block frequently seemed to clear it, but it's super-essay for it to scratch if you're not vigilant. Frustrating.
