A wonderful mattress - worth the risk of buying online without being able to try it out.
Ok - so buying a mattress online is difficult - you can’t try it out as almost all the 'brick and mortar' shops have mattresses made by big companies, but they are exclusive to them, so something you find in a store is impossible to find cheaper online. As such, we took a risk buying this, but based our decision on getting an idea for what we like by trying many other similar ones out first. I'm leaving this review to enable others to have more confidence in what is an expensive risky purchase.First off, the quality is great. It is pretty much a top of the range Silentnight mattress, so quality is expected. My wife and I never got on with memory foam as it feels like you are sleeping in quick sand, so we knew to avoid this! Our previous Sealy mattress had a latex layer which we liked a lot, but we were upsizing to a king size bed so needed to replace it. The Geltex layer on this mattress is very similar. The mattress does feel soft but this is just the Geltex layer. The springs under this are supportive. It gives a soft feel but with medium support overall, which we really like. The 'zones' really do isolate movement well, something our previous Sealy was not great at. The soft top is great for those who sleep on their side (like me) and reduces the risk of numbness.Since getting this we have slept so much better, except for when our 10 month old wakes - even then, getting back to sleep is quicker. We really love this mattress and although it was hard to bring ourselves to order this online without being able to try it, it was well worth the risk.Due to a miscommunication, this was left in the kitchen (not the delivery guys fault). As others have pointed out, it really is extremely heavy. This combined with the size make it very difficult to get up stairs. Make sure you get this left in the room you want it in!

A great sleep, a great mattress but a good buy that could have been great but for patience!
First the positive points.Delivery was timely, efficient and the delivery guys managed the mattress up the stairs and into the bedroom (and it was a tight squeeze so they worked hard at it.) Despite warnings to the contrary, the mattress did not emit any odour at all - the only smell was that of newness in terms of the materials. The mattress itself is fantastic in terms of comfort and the Geltex foam being both cooler and better able to spring back to shape than normal memory foam (this after two previous memory foam mattresses. The materials and workmanship look top notch, everything seems to be made to last the lifetime of a mattress of this quality. The negativesThe super-king version of this mattress is a monster in terms of being huge in standard dimensions but so deep that it really does take effort to manoeuvre...it is a very fit two person lift and I doubt we'll even get this out of the house if we do move without it being somehow folded up! You may want to consider two singles on a bed if access is restrictive for delivery. The deep dips in the top shape of the geltex cover which are made by the sewn buttons are initially a little strange as it distorts the top much more than expected, however because you sink in to the top it does flatten out to some extent. The biggest negative though was that almost immediately after purchasing I saw an advertisement come up showing the price had been reduced by a further significant amount, leaving me feeling a little disappointed that I had paid over the odds if only I'd waited another week or so, as a result I've since found Camel, Camel, Camel and will certainly be viewing trends from now on :(

mistake with original product size, however the mattress is lovely
The mattress itself is very comfy however the process of getting the mattress was not the best. It got delivered but it was the wrong size, delivering double instead of King. Thee is nowhere on the information that states the size in terms of king. It does say 135cm. This mattress weighed 52kg and took a lot of effort getting up the three flights of stairs, luckily the delivery guys were brilliant and carried it up the first set for me. However the packaging was filthy and i didnt want it taken up any further. Then i realised it was the wrong size. Had to have the mattress in my house for another week in the hallway until it could be picked up. Then had to wait a further two weeks for the correct size to be delivered weighing in at 62kg. Once again the packaging was dirty and when i removed it, it marked all the lovely new bed. It took 3 of us to carry the mattress up the stairs and this was still a struggle.I have marked the product as high stars because even though it is extremely wide (needing an extra wide 45cm mattress protector) it is lovely to sleep on and has started working on my insomnia. Although not so great sleep in this heat.In addition i am extremely concerned the original mattress that went back didnt get put back for sale and just went straight to a skip because there was no care in carrying it out across the street to the van. This would be very shameful as there was nothing wrong with it and i hadnt even taken the packaging off.
