I ws happy with my purchase except one thing the fishing pod the rod rests were snapped and broken plus the alarm bar was not tightened and not stable the bar kept spinning upside-down and I didn't have the tool to tighten it the line clips were cheap and tight I couldn't pull the line out without holding the clip and if you have a fish on that's the last thing you want I was happy with everything else

I’ve been float fishing for years, only every now and then - but after lock down last year I decided I’d like to get into carp fishing. One of my friends suggested this set, but another said it would be a waste of money. I decided that I knew the quality was going to be questionable and that I’d need to upgrade items over time, which I was happy with. I brought the three rod set, and have been really happy with it. I had to buy a new unhooking mat, as one lake I’ve been to required something more substantial than the one this set comes with and I had to get new bobbins as the ones with this set are a hindrance and caused me to loose two fish on my first outing as they don’t let go of the line. The ‘bivvy’ really is a day shelter - obviously! But you can tell that from the pictures. However I have used it for two nights and I can fit a fishing bed in and all my bags - what more do you need? If it rained heavily then it would leak. The rods, the stand, the reels, the end tackle have all been good so far and I’ve had 5 decent carp in three trips. The landing net is weak but I’m not catching big carp yet. I’d say it’s a good starter set, providing you realise you will want to upgrade over time.

I wouldn't waste your money things were broken and contents are very cheap. It's true what they say you get what you pay for. Look for something better verydisappointed child.

Rods good quality.reels with line good quality.pod for rods a few issues had to fix it myself.extra fishing tackle of good quality.bivvy is good quality.x2 bite alarms average quality they work well.overall a good starter set.very happy.
