I purchased the 36 ILD, 4"×30"×72" pad.I am very pleased to report that this is the very first foam I have purchased with only a very faint, almost non-detectable smell, out of the box!I have returned other foams which others described in their reviews. Even a popular, widely marketed, medical-grade, egg shell foam topper, which was marketed as non toxic, had an overbearing smell, straight through its plastic packaging, to my senses, and I returned it, unopened.Not so with this foam, it is the first time that I can only smell an odor if I put my nose directly onto the foam, and even then it is very subtle and almost undetectable.I haven't lain on it yet, so I can't speak to the comfort level.To the touch of my hand, it appears to be medium soft, which is just what I was aiming for as I am I intending to use this this as a topper for a body work table.Updating as of 8/8/22:I returned the foam because it was too firm for my purposes.I was however, pleased at the relatively low odor of chemical smell out of the box.Had this company offered a lower density foam, in the 20's, I would have purchased it.

Used this for a topper on a adjustable bed (like a hospital bed.) Had used a gel topper before & that didn't help. But this did the trick. He said it was firm but soft & his bones didn't hurt & he slept winderful.

I like mattress. It's exactly what I need. I choose the wrong size first but then I order the right size. It's soft and not expensive.

We’ve been sleeping on this in our RV for about 6 months. It is much harder than the firmness we were expecting & is uncomfortable on our hips if we la in one position too long.If this was for long term sleeping I’d order another one but for short trips it is doable.

I purchased this foam with the intention of using it in my SUV as a mattress. Unfortunately it was way too firm. So I decided to list it for sale locally as I will be charged over $20.00 to return it back to the Amazon Seller.

Ordered one first and then 5 more.I recommend it, description matching what advertised.

I use it to sleep on since I have such a bad back. The very firm should be at least 5" and the semi firm feels like a deluxe topper at 2". At least for me that worked out. It also softens up in about a week, which was perfect. Firm is really hard at 6" but sit or lay on it for a week, put the semi firm 2" on top, and you're good. I'm over 200 lbs too!

the foam is good but the first oder never came because it disappeared at Canada customs. We suspect someone there opened it up. Sproing!

No issues.Aired it out for a day after opening.Very comfortable to sleep on, whether sideways or on my back.Used on the floor.
