Schaum's Outline of Astronomy

The book is great and I would have given it five stars if it was only indexed properly with a table of contents. I love the author's attention to detail and especially the mathematics behind the various physical laws.

Debunks all the basic information. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this book through here for my class....it was required by the class. The cost and condition of the book was good and was perfect for my class. The ease of finding it here and ordering made it less complicated for me.

I was disappointed with this book because I expected a higher level of treatment from a Schaum outline. however it wasenjoyable to read what I already had seen elsewhere

Gives a nice basic overview of Astronomy and is excellent in important details.

There are simply too many errors to be useful to anyone using it to learn the subject. As an adjunct book with problems, fine as long as the reader knows that not everything is correct. Read a real astronomy text and hopefully have a prof and TAs to guide you through the unfathomable.

Its all theory and mathematics. Very technical.

This book is an excellent text to compliment any introductory astronomy text. The review material is concise and well written, and the questions follow the same format and reasoning found in many textbooks. A good buy.

Could do with an update regarding recent discoveries, but excellent otherwise!

Bought this because I'm doing advanced astronomy and this book has helped a lot. Well worth the money Vary pleased with this book
