Little girls will love this: assembler might not!
This is a very nice dollhouse. MUCH ASSEMBLY REQUIRED! The very first thing to be assembled was the elevator which did not have a hole for the knob which is used to move the elevator up & down. Little hands can push it up & down as easily. WD40 makes it move more smoothly. Next attaching the top & bottom of the elevator to the post was also difficult; apparently you have to make your own "threads" for the screws so plan on screwing them in & out a few times before actually assembling. After that assembly was pretty straightforward. Screwing into plastic is the hardest part. Use the largest screwdriver you can so as not to strip the screws. I assembled (60 year old Grammy) by myself but could have used some help with some of the walls when 3 hands are needed. My husband tends to get frustrated and force parts which would have broken things. The screws are separated on a cardboard with lettered bubbles for each step; very helpful. The instructions are pictures but if you follow in order you will achieve success. Some assembly required for the furniture. The bed will not last long and the canopy is a joke. I will get some nice tulle & ribbons to replace. My granddaughter will love this. Part of it is good quality. Some of it seems very cheap. I paid $99 at toys r us.
