Good features and quality for the price
The question I most wanted an answer to before I made this purchase?Yes! My Glock 26 Gen 4 fits snugly and securely in this holster. It is not too long and not too short. That is the only make and model I can speak to. And yes, the photo is a left-handed holster but the holster is right handed as indicated in the description.I chose this holster for a return to law enforcement as a reserve deputy sheriff to maintain my certification. Out of the box, the rig looks and feels sturdy. I tested the retention lock and am satisfied with the results. Using the paddle attachment, I wore the rig for a couple of hours around the house and it was fairly comfortable. I won't have a full assessment until after a shift of getting in and out of a patrol car.For work, I like the typical duty belt holster that extends a little from the side and rides a little low. My priority is access over concealment. Countless door frames have dents and scars from me cutting too close. I would say that his holster is a good hybrid between a duty holster and OTB concealed carry holster. Using the belt loops instead of the paddle would bring it in tighter if that is your desire. As a practiced shooter, it only took minutes before I was comfortable and confident in my draw. I am cursed with short fingers yet had no trouble aligning to and activating the release. In my research, I found concerns about unintentional fires related to this holster. Unless there is something that I am missing, I don't anticipate a problem with this model and my pistol. After I activate the release and draw, my finger falls naturally on to the slide as the pistol clears the holster. I will certainly report back if I discover problems. I will post pictures if I end up with a bullet in my leg.I can't give the holster a full 5 Star without more field testing and putting it through its paces on the job but I am confident enough to take it into the line of duty and that means a lot to me.Updated: found out the accidental discharge problem. The retention release is activated with the trigger finger. If you lay your finger flat, per the instructions, it draws perfectly every time. However, some get stressed or careless and bend their trigger finger to put extra pressure on the release as if this increases speed. It does not. And a bent finger can result in the trigger finger landing on the trigger as it clears the holster. Again, a little practice and focus on safety and this is not a problem.

Excellent product
I've been a leather holster man all my life. I go back to the days that with a new holster, your would grease up the gun, soak the holster in hot water, jam the gun down into the holster, and put it out in the sun long enough for everything to dry out and let the leather shrink and mold itself to the gun.But I really like this rig. It is well made, fits my Glock perfectly, and the assembly instructions were reasonably good. The mechanism that secures the weapon in the holster works perfectly, with an easy release, and with the index finger automatically in position above and off the trigger as the weapon is drawn. l also like the adjustable height and cant features. I like the option for paddle or belt carry, but I would like it to be easier to switch between the two.

Great holster, but not for concealment.
I purchased a Fobus holster very similar to this one, but quickly found that if I ever needed to use my firearm I wouldn't be able to get it out of the holster without using two hands as the retention on it is way too tight. I tried the recommendations from Fobus to loosen it up, but none helped. I purchased this one to replace the Fobus and found this one to be absolutely perfect. This one has better retention with the locking tab, but the weapon can be quickly deployed with no resistance by simply pushing the release button. The button is perfectly placed where your finger would naturally land when reaching for your firearm. This one comes with both the belt slide mount, AND the fully adjustable paddle. I prefer the paddle for around the house and yard work, but this holster really doesn't conceal well unless under a jacket. It sticks out a bit too far for a shirt to adequately hide your weapon. I haven't found an OWB holster that truly conceals well though, so I wasn't expecting the best concealment for this. For my purposes where concealment isn't an issue this one works perfectly and unlike the Fobus I am confident that if the need arises I can quickly and easily deplot my weapon. Bottom line: excellent retention, paddle is extremely comfortable, lots of adjustment for cant and rise with both mounts, concealment not so much.

Thought of everything
I converted my Glock 27 to an optical sight, and had to change from my Galco leather holster I've had for twenty years. This Blackhawk Sherpa CQC Fits the gun and the optic perfectly. The index finger release works as it should and holds the gun securely. There are a number of mounting options including paddle and belt loops with adjustment for cant forward or back. You truly can’t do better than this holster.

Great holster
I own three of these holsters....one I used strapped to leg while on active duty with the Army, one for my Glock 19 as an LEO and one I carry my Glock 27 in.....can't say enough about these Blackhawk holsters.....they are tough, durable and retain your weapon securely with no worries....I like the fact that index finger is used to release holster retention and then falls naturally within trigger guard.....nothing to unsnap, nothing to slow you down.....well worth the money....

Really good holster / everyone needs one of these
I have had one of these for 6 months that I carry my Glock 26 9mm in it. Yes, this is very comfortable and is easy to conceal with a lose shirt or jacket but the best thing about this holster is the peace of mind I have when using it. I have not doubt that there would be no way someone could catch me off guard and take my weapon from me if it were holstered. Once your weapon goes in the holster it will lock and hold in the trigger guard and can not be removed without pushing a release button. I liked this holster so much, I purchased another one recently for my wife to carry her Walther PK 380.
