A beautiful device for a niche set. NO REGRETS!
Review written post two weeks of usage:I wanted to have this since the day it launched based on the looks alone. It took 8 months to launch in India. Thanks Microsoft!Firstly, this is my secondary work machine given to me by my company. I did not buy it with my own funds. Although I had the freedom to buy a laptop twice as expensive as this one, I still went for the SPX. I had two main reasons: Looks and Portability and it did not disappoint in either of those departments. No ways around it, it is a Stunning looking device; be it the chassis, the screen or the entire machine with the keyboard cover. It just looks and feels just as expensive as it is, perhaps a little more than that. The metal feels smooth to touch, (although I would recommend a skin for the back as it is a fingerprint magnet) and it doesn't heat up at all and is silent being fanless. I already have a Toshiba workhorse which is just 1.2kgs and this being just about 1kg with the keyboard feels just unbelievable considering it runs the full Windows experience. I traveled a lot pre-Covid and intend to start again soon, so the lack of weight would surely help. It really checks the looks and portability space. Now for the Oh-so-controversial performance part:I mainly use my laptop for work via Outlook, Presentations, Excel and Word (in that order). Add to that light browsing (Chrome works just fine but to show off its speed I use the preferred MicrosoftEdge Canary browser) and ofcourse Netflix, Disney+ and the others. THIS MACHINE FLIES THROUGH ALL OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED without any hiccups. I haven't gamed yet but I do intend to install Asphalt 9 which works fine according to YouTuber iJustine (check her unboxing video for more)I will be honest, a friend of mine is really interested in buying this but with his own money and I have asked him to either wait for the Surface pro 8 or go for the Surface Laptop 3. The only reason behind this is to be future proof. He will probably use this for more tasks than what I use and tomorrow if he wants to install a 64-bit only app, that may not run smoothly or at all (this works on the 32-bit ARM architecture). Just this one hiccup makes me advice you against buying this unless you are being gifted this or if you will NEVER EVER need to use any other apps that the ones that I use it for.I personally do not regret a bit buying this, intact I'm overwhelmed that I did go for this over the competition. It's just that special! And special is all that I was looking for.Ask only sensible questions, if you have any for an answer. Hope this helps!

Update after 3 months.. Stopped working .
Seeing problems after 3 months of usage - like does not switch on sometimes, touch screen does not work randomly. Surface prox keyboard and pen don't work.Old reviewBrilliant product. Of course, not for everyone. It is a first generation product for Windows on Arm. And yes, it is costly. You are paying a premium. But, if you want to try something different, if you want to carry a futuristic product. Then this is for you. It is a pleasure to hold this and carry it around. Yes, some Applications will not work. It is about 75% compatibility now. All basic apps work - MS office - Word, excel, skype, teams and then Zoom, Slack, netflix etc. The list will increase as days go by.It definitely is not targeted towards serious developers or gamers.

This device is from the Future...!
Let me get this straight out of here... This device is not meant for everyone. BUT whoever wishes to own it will LOVE it!!!I am writing this review on the device itself just telling you its an awesome purchase. I have seen over 50 videos of the device on Youtube and not seen anywhere in store before purchasing it online on Amazon. I was still confident of the device because I knew exactly what it can and cannot do from the outset. It can do a lot of things like - Play Netflix, Productivity (Word, excel, powerpoint, teams, zoom) effortlessly... Go online and browse for stuff on Chrome or Edge meant for this system. You can listen to music and get almost a whole day out of the battery on a single charge. No problems at all! Its not laggy or slow... It works like a dream!Ok now when I said its not meant for everyone thats because of the compatibility issue with apps (No proper anti virus on board) and not as compatible as much what an Ipad can do. But comparing the two is also not correct since both are based on two different OS systems and the usage variesIf you boxes tick a lot for the Pro's then go ahead and pick this device - Its slim, Ok in terms of weight, portable, amazing fast charging, LTE support (I use it a lot since WIFI struggles sometimes at home), Dam its HOT looking, The screen is gorgeous... I went in for the 8GB/128GB model which suits my needDefinitely buy the keyboard option with it - I went in for the keyboard+Pen option to give it a complete look and feel. Its kinda incomplete without both if you ask me. If not a pen person then go just for the keyboardThis is a great start for an ARM based system - The very first on the block - Its like a device from the future for sure!Hope this helps you guys to buy your X!Cheers!

Surface Pro X: my new love!
Update: Accessories unreliable. Both type cover and pen failed within the year of purchase. Support is not good anymore. They barely respond.Pro X is exactly how they showed it in their advertisements. The screen feels huge after my last Pro 3. Resolution is crisp, colours are vivid. And it is really so thin and light!!! I enjoy working on it all day. While using MS Office, non stop, PDF editing, screen active for 9 hours continuously, browser running continuously, the battery was only down 40%. I still was able to come back home, watch a few youtube videos, play a little Solitare and I still had 30% battery left by the time I had to sleep. Charges very quickly. Pen sensitivity even with the old pens is an incredible leap forward. All in all, a perfect device for business professionals.

A good looking beast
Loved the feel so far . Face ID unlock, battery life and just the feel of this machine is terrific. It is super fast and design and ux is at the centre. It's super slim and the pen 🖊️ is also a cool feature to sktech or design. Loving it

Light weight , remember you have buy the keyboard and pen seperately
You can get lot better quality product in that range of price . But it's really a handy product for travelers who don't use heavy software or games, There was some application you can't run in that processor,
