Numenko is somewhat like Scrabble with numbers rather than letters. It's fun, stimulating, and is great for reinforcing math skills in children who are already comfortable with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Intrigued? Picture 142 wooden tiles, each with either a number, operators (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and equal sign), or a ''Freechoice'' (wild card) symbol. Each player draws a set number of tiles, puts them on their wooden tile rack, and then takes turns creating sums on the board, deciding how to use each operator tile so as to get the highest number of points. Before long, the tiles will be arranged in crossword fashion, vertically and/or horizontally, and the brain cells will be in high gear. The person with the most points at the end wins. Numenko is fun, mentally invigorating, and a perfect combo of entertaining and educational. A fine addition to your game collection! The game comes with 142 tiles, 4 tile racks, and a playing board.
