As a previous reviewer stated, if you want a bit more heat in your drink all you need to do is let it finish and then run it again. The result is unbelievable frothy and hot enough to scald your throat if you're not careful. You can always stop it after 1.5 runs of course.Anyway, it works perfectly, mixes and froths up one good sized mug of chocolate, Horlicks, pure cocoa nibs with sugar or just plain milk, and the price is better than many competitors.One word of warning, if you were to break the glass and think you could purchase a replacement from the manufacturer forget it. I contacted them to try and get one just to keep in case it was ever needed and the answer was a very definite no, they basically have no spare policy or holding. If it breaks you've got the throw the whole machine away, so take care of it! Apart from that highly recommended.

Had a few VonShef gadgets, usually a good design, with good features but cheaply made. This milk frother is similar. It replaces a Nespresso Areo which lasted over ten years. I don't think the VonShef will make it anywhere near that long. The handle already feels loose after three months. It looks the part but doesn't really feel well made or from decent materials.This makes very good frothy milk. But it takes an age. We are talking five mins for the max level (which is only two very small cappuccino).The glass jug is the reason I bought this, can't trust the forever chemicals in the non-slick jugs, so VonShef have don't a good thing here, its the only glass jug out there.It short, it works, does the job well, but I'd happily have paid double if the materials and manufacturing had been up to snuff.

I bought this to replace an integrated frother which could not go in the dishwasher. This VonShef frother has a separate jug so it can be easily cleaned and can go in the dishwasher. So far so good. It's also wider than most frothers so you can get your hands in to clean more easily. The base of the glass jug is stainless steel so it spreads the heat well and does not create hot spots, unlike my previous frother, so no burn spots ... yet.

This works great while it lasts. After 6 months, milk doesn't heat up enough so you have to operate it 2-3 times to get it to the right temperature then it stops working all together.

Takes quite a long time to froth but it's always good to relax while you wait!

I 've bought various frothers over the years, some lasting longer than others. The grand daughter wanted Smeg which survived daily use for 6 months on a 2 year guarantee Was replaced but I've lost faith it's just a name. This Von Shef is small, compact and very efficient for frothy coffee and hot chocolate drinks, and £104 cheaper than Smeg so if it lasts 6 months it's still a winner. I'm impressed on quality, price and quick delivery.

Positives+ Frothed well+ Convenient see through glass milk container+ Container easy to clean+ Looks good.Negatives- Failed after about two months use. Something around the magnetic stirrer wore out and would make a sick noise while spinning at reduced speed.- No where near as quick as a steamer.

The media could not be loaded. After reading the reviews on this I wasn't sure whether I would like this frother as I like my lattes extra hot. Anyway, I went ahead, as only two options where you can remove the jug and wash easily (the rest are like a kettle and can't be submerged in water).My thoughts are as follows:Pros: really quiet, looks good, easy to cleanCons: bit pricey, the milk is not 'extra hot' with one push of the button HOWEVER if you press it a second time, then it is. And you get a lovely froth.I am really happy to let it do its thing twice to get the hot coffee I enjoy, so overall a good buy.
