If you are serious about super sharp photos, then you probably should consider carrying a tripod along with you. I bought this little gem for a trip and loved it ! I appreciate the build - it appears to be made of a bead-blasted and powdercoated aluminum alloy that is both strong and light. The surface of it is a no nonsense flat-ish black and is easy to carry. I like the ball joint that can hold a sony a6400 in any position with the 18-135 lens - no wobble or fall over. This thing is well build and sturdy. Now that I'm home, it will stay in my kit and probably take a lot of work that the larger tripod would have been used for.

Excellent product. Very light, durable, and adjustable. I enjoy long exposure photography, but a full-size tripod is very problematic when traveling. On a recent trip through Europe, I had no issues fitting the mini tripod into a dslr camera bag, and had no issues getting it through carry-on security at airports or into museums.A very small complaint - while the aluminum construction is a great design choice, the threaded rod (where camera is attached) should arguably be steel. One has to tighten it snugly so as to not come unscrewed when rotating the camera on the tripod, and this repeated tightening seems to be wearing the threads slightly. Additionally, I dropped the tripod and it deformed the threads a little. But, ultimately I think this is still a 5 star product, just something that might be nice to see implemented in a future revision (even though a steel rod would add a small amount of weight).

This product works well as a Mobile phone holder/tripod. However it doesn't hold a larger DSR camera due to the construct of "leg holding mechanism". In order to hold a heavy object, all three legs should equally hold their position. However one leg is loose while two other legs are sturdy. This is a design defect which cannot be corrected. I bought two of this product and they have the exact same problem. You will find out quickly this product is only good for a mobile phone. If you are looking for a small tripod for your DSR for travel, buy something else.

Bought this for my spotting scope while shooting from a bench. Only used it once but it did a nice job holding my 20-60X 80mm scope. the adjustment is tricky with the one screw for the ball mount but it seems to hold well and provides a steady mount. Gave it 4 stars because of the lack of fine tuning for the ball mount. Good sturdy mount. Very compact. Good value. Would buy again.

The Clovis CS-50 Mini Tripod is exceptionally high value. For, calibration I own a number of professional grade tripods and heads, such as RSS. I was very please with both the function of the CS-50 and the quality of the tripod. I use it for fast-paced trips when luggage must be kept to the bare minimum. It functions acceptably for both my Canon 5DIII and my Sony mirrorless. I limit lens weight to about 1 1/2 pounds. I would recommend that Clovis increase the size of the clamping adjustment knob by about 50 %. I doubt that this change would impact manufacturing cost and it would ease the adjustment for folks with weaker hands.

Perfect for my needs. I needed a very low profile stand that was also not a piece of junk and super sturdy. This can hold some decent weight behind it, probably even a a DSLR. I am using it with a bridge camera and its wonderful for my YouTube action figure review channel. It also has the added benefit of quickly folding up and turning into a one handed grip. It is pretty much all metal and I bet it will hold up over time. Highly recommend for anyone's kit that enjoys macro or travel photography. This is as simple as it gets and that's a good thing in this case.

We use this for a mini Pico projector that our sales team takes on the road when visiting customers, and it works great! The mini flexible tripod that came with the projector was difficult to position and would get tipped over by the weight of the HDMI cable when plugged in, but the ball head on this tripod made positioning the projector fast and easy, and the wide stance of the legs kept it from tipping over. The solid aluminum construction of this tripod is an added bonus. Well worth the money and deserving of 5 stars!

Very nice tripod works great for my video projector. The tripod had enough weight to it and the stance is wide enough I don't worry about my projector tipping over. Four stars because the adjustment screw is short and is somewhat hard to reach when making fine adjustments
