Bernie and Chet get better and better
Having Chet the Dog be the narrator makes the story even more interesting. Chet describes what is going on without stepping out of his doggy personality. Imagine action from the point of view of a K9. He loves his ex cop partner and their work as private detectives. The mystery is interesting. Readers will want to read every book in this series.

A very special 'fix' for my Chet addiction
I am a Spencer Quinn fan. No, let me rephrase that; I am a CHET fan. Spencer Quinn is merely the conduit that enables Chet to come to life on my Kindle. This latest installment of the Chet and Bernie series merely reaffirms the fact that this is one of the best series I have ever read. You don't have to be a dog lover to like these books, but it doesn't hurt. I will tell you this, though. You will fall in love with Chet in the first few pages of the first of these books that you read; and from there it just gets better. He takes care of Bernie, his human, in his own inimitable style and you love him for it. Enter Susie Sanchez, and you have the perfect trio. Chet knows it but sometimes Bernie is a little slow on the uptake, though he is a great detective.SPOILER ALERT: In this latest book, "The Dog who Knew too Much", when Georgie Malhouf has Bernie sign the waiver for not accepting the check, you know what's going on, it's just a matter of time before the shoe drops, and drop it does, and it's up to Chet to somehow make things right again and he doesn't disappoint. For those readers who have never read one of these books, you're in for a treat. Both from the sheer enjoyment of it and also because you have several to read before you run out. For the rest of us, we have to wait, not very patiently, for the next installment to come out. Mr. Quinn could at least feed our addiction with a short story or five ala "A Cat was Involved", which was an expansion of an event that took place in an earlier book.Needless to say, I love these books and can't wait for the next one.

Chet & Bernie Obsession
A month or so ago I crashed and burned on "important" but depressing books, the pressure of the pandemic, and the sad state of our union. I needed a distraction, a good distraction, fiction that made me smile. When by chance I found Chet & Bernie and read the first few pages I felt my spirits lift and the corners of my mouth turn up not down. Now I am obsessed with the antics of The Little Detective Agency. I buy the next book in the series during the last few digital minutes of the previous book on my Kindle. Quinn knows dogs all right, so much so, I now believe I can predict the actions of our neighbor's dog, a big girl whom we dogsit. I already know I can read the dogs mind. Chet just reaffirmed that I can. Onward to the next book, and now that I like Spencer Quinn's writing, I will likely travel beyond Chet and Bernie into the other world that the author inhabits.

To No or not to No
Chet the Jet, always a good read. If there’s three things I know, it’s that I can’t remember two of them.

My favorite of the series (so far..more to read!)
I really enjoyed this book. The characters continue to develop and the plot lines are smooth and complex.Full of mystery, common sense (as shared by Chet) plus romance, adventure, and lots of great car rides.I highly recommend this series!

A fun Mystery Romp in the Wilderness with Chet and Bernie!
I'm a mystery fan and being a dog dad I love dogs, so the Chet and Bernie mystery series by Spencer Quinn is a great combination of my interests and has delivered another hit! The fourth book in the series called "The Dog Who Knew Too Much" is another fun read. FIVE STARS (out of 5). The series is about Bernie Little who runs the "Little Detective Agency" and his faithful border collie Chet, who narrates all of the books! It's so much fun to read these books narrated by Chet, because he gets distracted by stories of encounters he and Bernie had in the past that remind him of something in the present- like doing something and then suddenly... "SQUIRREL!" and all concentration is gone. :) - Bernie and Chet are hired to find out what happened to a kid that went to a wilderness camp and never came back with the rest of the boys in his troop. The mystery really takes them deep into the woods where they find corruption, blackmail, and some seedy characters. This is another great read and you won't want to put it down. Bravo Spencer Quinn! I can't wait to read the next in the series! and... "Go, Chet the Jet!" (You'll get that when you read the series). -

Another great Chet and Bernie detective story
While not as funny and with fewer light-hearted moments that the 3 prior Chet & Bernie detective tales, this one more than makes up for it with a higher concentration of real thrills and scares. Chet & Bernie set out to find a child missing from a hiking trip at his overnight camp whom camp officials claim had gotten lost but who Bernie correctly suspected has been kidnapped. Chet and Bernie both end up in real danger of their own but under separate circumstances. Any more details would be spoilers which is not something this reviewer wants to do. Just know that this book is highly recommended and be warned: don’t start it late at night because you might stay up all night reading it!

Dog done it!
Once again, a great story from the mouth of a dog you wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of. If he has a wrong side, whatever that means. Another case of good characters, good dialogue, good plot. One word of caution, Chet: start running before the bear growls.

Fabulous
Once again Chet is on the job, totally professional and tip top. I love all the in jokes and even if Chet' s mind runs a lot on food the story is still great.
