So currently I am in competition with my father on who can beat who in arm wrestling. Since he is a lot larger than I, I wanted to find a way around his strength and thus happened upon some information on wrist strengthening. I hunted for a good one for a few weeks looking through many different reviews and different kinds. When I happened upon this I saw it was very inexpensive and very straight forward. Some of the reviews I read did have a lot of negative criticism about it, but personally I love it. This isn't something that is built for super tough people as my fiance, who is not very strong at all, can bend this a few times easily. It is very straight forward on how it is used. Adjusting the strap does change the "resistance" level but at the same time you have to make sure you adjust it to a comfortable level on your hand, otherwise you are going to do more harm than good. It is a very simple design which I like and even though it is a spring attached to hard plastic it works. This is not something I would recommend for people who are trying to do hardcore wrist and forearm strengthening because it is not built for that. What I have gotten out of it so far is just making my wrist strong enough not to be bent out of position easily. The best tactic I have used this with is definitely what a few others have mentioned. If you put on a movie and do reps at a very slow pace you will feel the muscles being worked, and it also makes it to where you don't have to set aside a long period of time to mess around with this. You can but you don't have to.Of course the strap going over the back of the wrist is foam covered and will pull on your arm hair if you are not careful fellas. I was able to work around this by setting the strap to a specific spot that was comfortable on my arm and wouldn't move around.Overall I say this was money well spent and since it was quite inexpensive that made it all the better.

For some but not for others, can easily cause injury if not use correctly
Be warned, in my expierenxe with this item after taking it out of the box and trying it out, it can cause significant icant injury if the sizing is not right and if use incorrectly.Bought it to help with RA and corpoltunnel (Iβm 24 so trying different items to help maintain strength and dexterity). The price caught my attention but I am going to cough up the extra money for a device that has more adjustments such as the size and tension.2.5 stars (round it up to 3) as I can see how it can be benifical to some including the price, but not for others. It would be nice to know the size as the description details that itβs designed from small hands to large but not enough detail regarding the amount of tension and the size of one forearm.

Just Amazing what this thing does.
I have been bodybuilding off and on since I was in 8th grade and by time I was in the 12th grade I weighed in at 155lbs granite I'm only 5'6'' but I was able to bench 365lbs and no I wasn't taking steroids. I Just have good genetics to give you some perspective my father is 5'5" and now at the age of 73 he still has an 8 inch wrist so that being said this product is much more than I expected. I am completely blown away how much this thing works yes it does pull you hair on your wrist like other people say it does but who cares this thing is the most effective thing I've ever used to build my wrists and Forearms it's so good I bought another one.

Great product, But crap directions
Product works great. I saw that some reviews said it was pinching their hairs, and unless you're an APE, you'll be fine. I haven't experienced this issue whatsoever. It is kind of hard to bend it and the direction for use are CRAP, but once you figure it out, it works well.4 stars because the directions were on a piece of faded black and white paper. No writing or anything to specify.Otherwise great product.

Worth my money
This wrist exerciser although not the best helped me out with getting over an old injury. I was not able to do pushups without my left wrist hurting. I began using this regularly and it surprisingly worked. It is a bit difficult and awkward to use. The part that rests against your wrists pulls on my arm hair and can make it uncomfortable. I still give it 4 stars because it did it's job.

I liked one enough to buy a second
I just bought one of these. I have several shoulder injuries from doing martial arts. My forearms have weakened over time. I just purchased a second one that will be delivered tomorrow. My arms don't work the same. So I wanted to get two of them so that I can feel the movement in both arms and calibrate them. I can see why some would say it's uncomfortable, but if I make sure that my wrist and elbow are aligned ulna and radius, the pad actually serves as a good cue to keep the movement correct. When I'm doing the movement correctly it's not uncomfortable. They are working well for me.

and it is attached to the springs with nylon cloth pieces that don't move easily and which will wear over time
There were no instructions in or on the box and one has to discover how to use the device by looking at blurred images on the box and then through trial and error. There is a bar that runs horizontally between the two main springs, and one lessens or increases the strength by sliding that bar up and down. I found this difficult to do, and it is attached to the springs with nylon cloth pieces that don't move easily and which will wear over time.I have arthritis in both hands, and want something to retain/regain some level of strength not just in my hands, but also in my wrists. The design is good, but the construction of that design seems shoddy.More to the point, I would not recommend this to someone who has arthritis. It was not only awkward to use and only medium quality, but too strong for actually weak wrists. In reality the range of adjustment is severely limited by the design. A different approach would be helpful. I have returned this unit.

I see some people hate this device because it pulls hair and hurts forearm
I see some people hate this device because it pulls hair and hurts forearm. It takes some getting used to with the pressure of the forearm piece when curling but my forearm toughened up within 3 days and doesn't bother me anymore. I broke a bone in my hand 5 years ago and hand/wrist has been weak ever since. That is changing now. Once in a while a hair on my arm gets pulled in the coil but like everything else in life I get over it in 1 second. Elderly/veryweak/UberHairyMonkeyMen may not like this device. I definite must buy for normal men and women.

There is a lot of resistance, difficult to use if just getting started
The item arrived damaged. It's awkward to use and could use better or more padding so it doesn't dig into your arm. There is a lot of resistance, if this is your first step in strengthening your wrist your going to find it difficult to use but it will definitely do the job.
