Genius is...90% perspiration. Kudos to Coach Petrino for sharing his knowledge that is a result of many years of hard work and dedication to the game of football. As a person that focused on the defensive side of the ball as a player and coach, I find the "whys" of this book fascinating. Coach Petrino gives the logic behind why this play or route will work against a certain scheme and technique. The "why" behind the X's and O's is valuable information from the perspective of the offensive and the defensive side of a coaching staff.

I'm a high school quarterback coach. I used several of the teachings in this book to prepare my kids to be better. Thank you for your wisdom, Coach Petrino. This book is gold.

This book is a comprehensive guide for the offense Petrino has run over the last 17 years, during his two runs at Louisville and Arkansas. He covers every concept in his passing game, as well as the run game out of the pistol he employed with Lamar Jackson. Once you understand his terminology and play call structure, it becomes a great encyclopedia for a balanced, lethal system. I have even gone as far as watching old games and could call out a lot of plays based on what I read and saw in the book.

This is the most thorough book on offensive football I have read. The focus on the details of the passing game is helpful to anyone interested in the game and it’s depth makes it an asset for coaches at all levels.
