A very excellent and just right power but not lots very versatile ,Perfect for my compact car ( Kia Forte) plug it in cigarette lighter and it will even reach all the way to the trunk with room left over !! Will vaccum every spot inside car. Has good suction. However it is NOT POWERFUL but will suck up anything you put in its path., I wished i would have owned this years ago. Comes with assortment of nice attachments also !! Dont wait around theres not to many good ones out there to pick from, and the price is just right too !! Feels like its of good quality.

I got this for a small off-grid cabin that runs on 12VDC. Since the cabin has its own battery and can have pretty extreme climate conditions, I didn't want the added expense and inevitable failure of a built-in battery.The overall design of this is very good - it's super compact, easily adjustable, decent cord length, decent accessories, the built-in brush is handy, it's light-weight, and I appreciate the washable filter.It does, however, also have a replaceable filter. These aren't too expensive but it is a little annoying to need one. On the other hand, I'm not sure what the alternative would be that such a low-power motor could work with, so, I wouldn't dock a star for that.In my usage, it consumed somewhere around 50W. This is honestly a little disappointing because many 12V outlets can handle double that. At this power, the suction was good enough to do what I needed but *barely*. As others pointed out, the charge state of your battery does make a noticeable impact.I understand B&D were trying to design this to not blow fuses, but it would've been nice to have 5A, 7.5A, and 10A speed settings. Perhaps a higher amperage motor can be swapped out, though for now, I'll keep it since it does work as advertised.

This little vacuum is great. It lives in my trunk and helps keep my car near spotless. A lot of reviews claim that the unit has poor suction, but I have not experienced this problem. I have noticed an increase in power when the car is running and the alternator is suppling the power instead of the battery.A 12v car battery is fully charged at around 12.6 - 13.1 volts. Under a load (doing work) the batteries voltage will start to drop. For instance when you start your car your battery will drop as low as 10 volts and still be a good battery.Standard alternators put out between 13.5 - 14.5 volts. Once your car starts your battery just hangs out and the alternator powers all the electrical needs of the car.Basically this vacuum is designed for 12 volts. Weak batteries or extended use can lower the battery below 12 volts. If the car is running the alternator will maintain 13.5+ volts, plenty to properly power the vacuum.I'd say that many of the complaints about low suction are from people running off the battery and not understanding electricity.

This is my third Car Vac, and I have to say, I think we got a winner! It has everything I wanted, and needed in an automotive vacuum cleaner, and more.Other than to initially test its usage, I've never really had to use the hose adjustment. I find that I can accomplish all my vacuuming needs solely via the pivoting nose, which extends and retracts, and also folds all the way in for compact storage. It also has a handy brush you can flip on.The power cord is also long enough for me to reach everywhere in my sedan, including the trunk and frunk and the sucking power of the Vac has been plenty sufficient for my needs.Another must-have feature for me was a washable filter - i didn't want to have to deal with replacing filter bags often - and this Vac delivers on that front.I've just had it for a month though - will update on how it holds up over time later.Fyi - In case anyone is wondering - it does not have an internal battery (you cannot charge it and use it unplugged from a power source). It needs to be constantly powered by the cigarette lighter in the car. In the event that you might need to use it in a house or somewhere with only a 110v outlet - grab an Ac to DC Adapter.Keep in mind though, that while it's plenty sufficient for Automotive cleaning, it's really not a powerful enough vacuum for heavy duty vacuuming inside the house.As stated in the title, my only qualm was the mesh bag that was provided with this unit - it was all but useless to me. I prefer more solid storage bags for my small appliances, so I ordered a trunk organizer that actually fits perfectly for the Vacuum, along with its attachments (see pictures attached).

The suction is quite weak. If you put on the hose attachment, there is almost no suction. This is with the hose fitting on snugly. It barely picks up the tiny rock gravel. It's ok if you just have dust to suction up, but not worth it.

Very Useful Attachments come with it!! This is a neat nifty little vacuum for the car, it looks really nice and the finishing is also pretty good. Ive tried using it a few times and all the clicks your hear when opening and closing the unit are strong and with a perfect fit. The suction is pretty strong for the size and very rarely have i used it in one spot more than once...unless its really dirty or when the dirt is caught up in the mat or seat fibers.. Recommended Buy...

Features that make sense including the slide out feature at the end of the nozzle for those hard-to-reach places such as under the trunk lid latch, which is under the driver seat on the floor. It's not as strong as my Dyson upright nor did I expect that it could be. I keep pressing the button that opens the dust cup when what I am trying to do is turn the nozzle to closed position. I like that the cord is generous in length. Haven't tried the accessories because I don't expect that there will be enough suction for them to work well, but one never knows. I'm happy that the grit, gravel bits and leaves have been picked up nicely from the floors and I got the down bits from a cheap down jacket picked off the seat upholstery.

So far, so good! A friend of mine got this vaccum a while ago for her car and I borrowed it from her for a few days, I loved it then so I decided to get my own because it has good suction power, it comes with little tools like brushes and a hose to get into deeper places; it’s super easy to clean just a snap to open the suction cup and a snap back to close it. The cord that connects to the car is long enough to reach all the way to the back of the car. This vacuum is super easy to use. And you can fold it for storage inside it’s own storage bag! How cool is that?! I love it. Super recommended specially if you have kids and need good suction when removing cracker crumbs and all sorts of ‘food debris’ and beach sand from the back seat and carpets xP

It's well made and does its job. There are a few flows, however - the red extension doesn't lock when you take it out which makes it useless because you need to put some pressure when cleaning.The other extension - the hose with the brush fitting is also useless as the vacuum cleaner doesn't have enough suction power. That being said it still does a decent job cleaning the car. Vor a 12V portable vacuum it's not bad at all. I doubt there are much better ones out there than this. One other thing that I don't like is that the garbage container opens way too easy - sometimes even while cleaning!Overall I'm happy with the purchase. For 40 bucks it's worth its money.

I just got this in the mail today and decided to give it a go right away as my car carpets were in dire need of some love. Although the suction is not overly strong, this vacuum definitely gets the job done with some patience. The attachments provided and the overall design are very well thought out. Cleanup is also really easy although the canister holding the dirt could use a better/tighter lock. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a practical and affordable solution for keeping their car tidy.
