Surprisingly Fantastic
These shoes are simply wonderful. I have an old pair of vibram five fingers that I love, but I started trail running and found they don't have enough padding for running on rough gravel or an acorn littered trail. Perhaps my feet would have eventually adjusted, but I'm running many miles and don't want to cause bone bruising or other damage to my feet. These WHITIN shoes are just what I needed. They have more padding, allowing me to run on sharp gravel comfortably, while still allowing my feet to move naturally, in a way that "traditional" shoes don't. They're also nice and wide in the forefoot and toe, which matches the natural shape of my feet. At least 99% of shoes are too narrow in the front and hurt my wide feet. If that sounds picky, I'm running 8-20 miles at a time, so any "small" problems with a shoe quickly magnify out to major problems. In short, these shoes are incredibly comfortable, provide the padding needed for trail running, and are surprisingly cheap compared to the competition. My only complaint is that I don't "feel the ground" as much as with my vibram five fingers. This downside can be somewhat alleviated though by simply using the shoes without the inserts.Note: If you're new to minimalist shoes, these will likely be perfect for you, since they have more padding than many others. Still, take time to let your body adjust. And know that, in the long run, you're actually less likely to injure yourself than with all the heavily padded conventional running shoes. Why? You can't just keep pounding the ground (causing stress injuries) because now that actually hurts. Your gait and foot strike will adjust, consciously or unconsciously, so that you land on the ground more lightly and distribute the force of impact more effectively. This will help not just your feet, but your ankles, knees, and hips too. I all but gave up running years ago because I kept suffering from injury and pain. Now, with minimalist shoes, I no longer worry about injury and can go for a 20 mile trail run without pain or swelling afterward!

Great so far
If you're sick of Vibrams and their overpriced, low quality build these days, try these out. 3 months in, wearing them almost every day and in various circumstances. Driving, work, walking on pavement; have hiked and ran mountain trails... including the accidental toe stub into a rock, or top of foot snagging on a tree root. So far, these things have held up, and the rubber does offer a little bit of protection for the toes, but not much, as expected. The soles are great though, very comfortable to walk/run on rocks, logs, etc. for long periods of time, and so far I can't tell that they've even worn down much at all. Very comfortable, easy to wear with or without socks, no hot spots. Great grip and comfort, even when wet. For 40 bucks I'll probably buy these again, even if this pair starts falling apart soon... but so far, no indication they will. I've had $120 dollar vibrams that werent comforable, had hot spots, and ripped within the first few times I wore them; basically garbage. So far these are way better, and way easier to get your foot into, and actually feels more like barefoot walking than the individual, foot-glove style.

Durable exteriors. Great shoes
I've owned these now for 14 months and use them for everything. I trail run, hike, camp, kayak, disc golf, and just about everything else in these shoes. I even treat them like water shoes most of the time. The exteriors are still a ten out of ten. The treads show no signs of wear which is incredible because I've put many hard miles on them. Laces are mint, no stains in the material, they clean up nicely through the washer (don't put them in the dryer). The only thing is that the insoles are destroyed. Both the heels and toes in both shoes. I'm looking to replace them and see no issue with getting many more years out of these. Overall, these were a great purchase and you won't regret the price. Note they have a wide toe box and are pretty roomy and comfortable to wear.****UPDATE****a little over a year and a half in and the soles have begun to peel away. Still wearing them, and they are worth every penny, but the end is near. You can expect to get at least the same but likely more time from them. I've abused them :)

Durable, extremely comfortable
BLUF: They are great.I switched to a barefoot-style shoe six months ago after seeing some articles and videos describing how they strengthen your feet. I did notice this, since now I can work on projects in the house and garage for several hours barefoot, without getting pains in the arches. I thought the barefoot/minimalist style would end up causing pain in my feet, but they've done the opposite. After wearing a pair for several months, I tried on my Asics again, and they felt much narrower. Bunions averted. The ones in the pictures with the orange laces (that particular design) can be a little looser, since it has an adjustable strap. I also took out the laces they provided, since I don't like the stretchy kind. The all black ones are comfortably snug, but you can't adjust the snugness of where the shoe meets the ankle. However, I would rather wear those on a run or a hike because they feel more stable. They feel like they have a slightly thicker heel as well. After walking on concrete and gravel for six months, the soles (orange laces in the picture) have held up extremely well, with barely any visible wear. All the seams and glued-together parts are also still solid.I used to buy Asics size 10.5, which translates perfectly to 10 in Whitins.

Not breathable at all
They're a super comfy shoe or the price, but they're not at all breathable. I opted for their canvas shoes instead and they're much better.

nice looking shoe it is more of a slipper than anything else it will probably work well as a water shoe this summer. not for wide feet. fit well for me sz 14. not much for cushion you feel lots good traction though. for the price see how long they last it seem to be good deal to me.

Great Value. No complains
For transition into barefoot shoe this is great and if i wanted to go full barefoot i can just remove the sole. I am usually 10.5 and went with 11, went for a walk on concrete and no leg pain issues. Feels like i am wearing a shoe socks lol quite a weird feeling but its comfy so no complains. Also just a FYI dont go with the 1_black variants as they tend to rip apart around the toes since its just a full mesh. The 2_light blue, 2_blue, 2_green, 2_black gum should last much longer since there is additional support to the mesh. I found this out from a youtuber called "Paul the Backpacker".
