Connected all for cameras on my own but when I purchased an additional camera I could get it to connect in the NVR. I could see the camera and IP address but tried everything using the FAQ on the website. I called tech support waited about 10 minutes and was assisted by Rachael Wills. She remoted into my computer and after trying a variety of fixes she was able to get the camera connected. Watching her work added to my own knowledge. Thank you for your support!

The resolution and quality of the cameras is outstanding!, and is relatively easy to set up even though the user interface is a bit clunky. Some simple improvements to the UI could be made that would make this outstanding, like showing if the system is recording or not, having the option to save the Password, adding a keyboard or a USB mouse and getting rid of the blank unused screens or make them functional - like showing system status.The install and setup instructions could be improved by making them clearer. ex. Installing the moisture covers on the Cat 5 cables!The hardware provided is of sub quality! The locking clips on the Cat5 cables do not engage! and the moisture covers do not fit over the Cat 5 connection! - Nice idea though!Finally! The cooling Fan is so annoyingly loud that everyone in my office was complaining about it forcing me to replace it, This has been a known issue for over 2 years! Fix the issue already! (and improve the fan opening to improve the airflow which will also help to quiet the fan!)AMCREST!!! Read these reviews to help improve your product!

This is a decent starter kit. The cameras are much better than 1 or 3 MP cameras but the cameras have a pretty strong fish eye effect. The audio is actually pretty much useless so don’t count on being able to reliably hear anything. The physical mounting setup for these is (in my opinion) a lot worse than that of the 8MP Amcrest cameras. As far as the NVR, the firmware is pretty awful but can be upgraded to a decent looking one. Amcrest makes all kinds of apps to let you modify your camera and NVR settings which work pretty well actually. The cameras have all kinds of watermarks including their own logo which is annoying and should be removed. Time will tell if these are actually durable.

Cameras work great when you first install but my bullet cameras got moisture that does not go away. It’s been too long since I bought these and now I can’t return them. Dome cameras are good so far. Also I wish I had bought the 8 channel rather than 4. I have blind spot around my house.
