Not worth the money. I am a side sleeper and I woke up with a bad kink in my neck just after a few hours. The middle section needs to be raised and the outter section needs to be more firm IMO.great customer service when the contacted me disliking the pillow. Moved to 3 stars for customer service.

I have tried roll pillows, cervical pillows, travel pillows, fluffy pillows, flat pillows and pillows whose specific purpose I no longer recall.With this pillow I sleep restfully and wake refreshed, with NO NECK PAIN. I think it keeps my spine in a neutral position and therefore minimizes neck strain, stiff muscles and risk of nerve damage. No pillow is right for everyone, but I think this one is right for me.

Worst pillow I have ever had. If you don't have neck/shoulder/back pain, this pillow might create it for you, as it did me. I have tried to give it enough time to become more comfortable, and it has not even slightly compressed or molded to my head/neck. Waking up with a sore neck is not worth it, and as far as I can tell, the 'cooling' effect was just a gimmick.

This pillow is awful! It feels like there is beans and hard buttons in it. It hurt my neck and the back of my head. What a waste of money. I would not recommend this pillow!!!!

I have been using this new pillow for the last week and have been slowly gathering my thoughts on it. Overall, it has some very nice features. It has a neutral smell right out of the box from the carbon that I rather like, all of the edges are wonderfully comfortable. This means that although the pillow seems to be made specifically for back sleepers, it still works nicely when I turn to lie on either side.The real specialty here is in its features for back sleeps, though, so I will now focus on that. When laying on my back the softer edge rises up to meet my neck and give it gentle support while the back of my head rests on the central area, which is composed of the buckwheat hulls. This makes it exceptionally firm for the back of the head, with only a slight give as it forms itself to the shape of your head.On using this pillow I discovered that I would prefer having the buckwheat on the bottom edge to give my neck more support and a higher lift than the back of my head. The trade off for this change, though, would be that the pillow would no longer work for those who sometimes switch to side sleeping during the night. So this pillow seems to have compromised. As a result, it feels like it does neither side nor back perfectly, but it is the most thoughtful combination pillow that I have seen in a while.Ultimately, this pillow is so unique that I feel that it must be experienced in order to decide if it will work for you. However, keep in mind that it might be firmer in the center than anything you have experienced before.I received this product at a discount for my honest review.

Four words, one sentence, say it all: “I am in heaven.” - I have had problems sleeping for the last 5 years since a bike accident. I tore my rotating cuff, and fractured my humerus in 4 places. Two surgeries later, along with PT, I haven’t been able to sleep on my left side… which happens to be the way my body just wants to sleep. No matter how many pillows I used to ‘cushion’ my shoulder, it was never enough, and I’d wake up in pain during the middle of the night.I decided to try this pillow. Quite honestly, I was intrigued by the ‘activated carbon’ they advertised. I had it shipped to my daughter’s while I was visiting there, and couldn’t wait to try it. I used it a full two weeks, every night, and I slept all the way through the night each and every time. When it was time for me to leave, there was NO WAY; I was going to leave it with her. I shipped it back to my home. It arrived a couple of days after I got back home, and those 2 nights that I didn’t have it… I kept waking up. My shoulder was in pain, or my arm had ‘fallen asleep’, and the tingling from that woke me up. I was a happy camper when my pillow arrived. My peaceful sleepful nights returned.Besides the sleep, I love the LARGE size. It measures about 17” wide X 24” long. I can hug it if I want to. Another thing I love about this pillow is that sometimes I like to either read or watch TV before going to sleep in bed. This pillow is wonderful. It is stiff enough for me to put against the backboard, and is super comfortable to rest my back and shoulders against it.As others have mentioned, this pillow is unique, and it will feel a bit stiff when you first take it out of the box, but its firmness, the carbon, and buckwheat will help you sleep. It may not be for everyone, but if you are having sleepless nights, it is worth a try. I am so glad that I did.All in all, I love this pillow so much; I’ve used it every single night except when it was in transit back to my home. I love it so much, that when I return to my daughter’s home in a few months, I will purchase another one, just to leave at her house for me to use, so that I don’t have to worry about shipping it between the two homes.For cleaning, you don’t wash it. You put it out in the sun. And guess what… it works!
