This elastic is very soft, and when used in a waistband it rolled and twisted quite a bit. A stiffer, thicker elastic would be a better choices for waistbands. As for being soft, yes it is. The quality is fine, and well made.

not sure why I ordered three rolls and one was elastic and the other two were webbing. Don't buy, this product is not as described. It used to be elastic and the elastic was great.

Not useful. Does not have any kind of rigidity that allows for a great snap back or hold. It's very flimsy, can not use for any purpose.
