IVY Classic 39054 5-Inch x 5/8 - 1/2-Inch Arbor, Carbon Steel Crimped Bench Wire Wheel - 0.012-Inch Coarse, 1/Card

The product looks nice and shiny in the package but my favorable impression ended there. There were a number of bristles that stuck out from the perimeter by a quarter to half inch, and a couple dozen that stuck out a sixteenth to an eighth of an inch. Poor quality control, but okay, I trimmed these. The bristle-packing density around the perimeter varied quite a bit. This concerned me and indeed, once I mounted the wheel and turned on the motor, it vibrated so much that items were vibrating off my (heavy-duty) bench. This is a Chinese product, made with poor quality control, and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Wasn't real impressed....the width of the wheel at the outer edge seems narrow for the overall size. Also started shedding wires quickly.

Installed this on my bench grinder motor today. Looks good and suspect it will perform well but it is out of balance. I also sharpen bits with the other grinder wheel and it now has an undesirable vibration. I will probably have to get a dedicated motor so it doesn't impact my ability to sharpen drill bits.

I used it the first time to wire brush rust off a piece of irn. I'm not sure what I had more of...rust or strands of wire flying off the wheel.

Does shed but not bad, great value
