Interesting story, but...
Dar wants revenge for what happened 60 years ago. Malina doesn't remember it, thanks to Niall. Dar gives good luck to ghosts, goblins, and other things, and then sets them to haunt and infest the MacGregor mansion. The story was interesting, but the romance just wasn't there. I recognize they're picking up from 60 years ago, but I didn't get the feels of anticipating, excitement, etc. Also, I didn't laugh at pranks and jokes as much in this one. It's a good story, just not as much fun as the others in the series. Plus, we don't see Erik and Lydia, Iain and Jane, or Fergus and Donna.Stand alone HEA, with references to previous books.Contains sex scenes, swear words, and violence (fist fight, brawl, destruction of property).

Good quick read, not great world building
The premise of the story is a lot of fun. I always love reading different writers interpretation of magic, kilts are fun and sexy, and many of the highjinks are a good laugh. My biggest issue is the writing feels like it was geared towards preteens and teens based upon its composition, detail, and vocabulary choices. But the sexual context is very much adult. I feel like I'm back in middle school reading a series designed for less complicated minds. There is a distinct lack of background and character/world building. There is conflict and stated emotions, but the writing doesn't make you actually feel the emotions or make you struggle to find the best way through the conflict. And this particular story has plenty of emotional manipulation and lack of respect for the main female character with no real resolution.

Is luck on your side
I can not get enough of these Warlocks who are living in Wisconsin. This book was full of laughs, mischief and again love. Malina, the youngest and only daughter of the McGregor clan was not brought-up with the clan. She was shipped away during the time of the Witch hunt. As luck would have it lol she fell in love with a Luck Demon. Her brother Niall, the hunter that he is, well lets just say, luck wasn't on Darragh's side at the time. I am going to stop here or I will give the book away. If you have not read this series, Start with Book 1 Love Potion (Warlocks McGregor) You will have non stop laughter and adventure while reading and learning about these Characters. Especially Euann and Raibeart :-)

Demons, spirits, goblins, and warlocks, together they make for a recipe of disaster and laughter in Michelle M. Pillow's book four of the Warlock MacGregor series!
The only question is who or what will end up surviving a catastrophe of misunderstanding and miss alliance's! True confessions will need to be uttered and heard before acceptance will allow the families luck to be restored. The MacGregor English Rose will need the love of her betrayed demon husband to find happiness and peace in her wild Scottish clan. Good luck to those who find this series to read!

A must read!
Malina is the only female in the MacGregor cousins. She was sent away for her safety as a child and now feels like she does not belong. Her family treats her like she does not know what she is doing and it does not help she has made a few mistakes. One of her biggest mistakes is coming back to haunt her. Dar is a demon who fell in love with Malina many years ago...until the night she tried to kill him. Now he is back seeking revenge. Little does he know the revenge he is looking for is bitter sweet. Michelle does an amazing job once again. I love the MacGregor warlocks and look forward to their stories every time they come out. Their family antics and dynamics never fail to make me laugh in the strangest of places. I cannot wait to read more of their stories.

Enjoyable and a lot going on
I really like this series, and I love Dar and Malina. I loved the flashbacks to a younger Malina, the heartbreak on both sides, and some of the wacky situations this family always finds itself in. I just wish that the plot was a little more cohesive. There's a lot going on story-wise and it felt like the hits just kept coming. I love the story, but the other shoe dropped many times in this book, and keeping track of all the damage flying every which way was a little exhausting. It perhaps could have done with some simplification. Still worth a read just for Malina, Dar, Niall, and Charlotte!

My Favorite Michelle Pillow Series
The Warlocks MacGregor is my favorite Michelle Pillow series. In this series, Ms Pillow has always created characters who are uniquely complex in his/her own entertaining way. A minor character in previous books, Warlock Malina MacGregor is front and center in this one. She is being haunted by ghosts, goblins, and gremlins released by a vengeful luck demi-demon named Dar. They have taken over the MacGregor mansion and effectively evicted the MacGregor family. Glorious chaos reigns. I highly recommend this book (and the other Warlock MacGregor books). Happy reading.

Fun page turner
I read the first three books in one day and immediately bought the next two in the series. The MacGregor’s are an interesting bunch and the fun never stops. There is love, practice jokes, strong family values and a bit of the supernatural. They are easy reads but worth the time.
