The Heart's Garden: based on a poem by RUMI (1) (Little Rumi) Hardcover – September 1, 2015

Very nice book and shipped fast with Amazon, but the book is defective. It has two pages either glued together or broken by someone who has already tried to get the two pages unstuck from each other.I tried replacing the book several times through Amazon, who did a great job of sending a replacement really fast, but all 3 books I received had the same issue. I believe the issue is at the publisher level, not amazon or the book itself, but it is a shame because such a nice book should be enjoyed fully without torn pages. Unfortunately, I will have to let go of this book and I may re-order from a different vendor or sometime in the future if they make a new batch of books without the defect.

The story is captivating and every day our daughter brings it to me at least a couple times to read to her. I really like that the vocabulary and sentence structures of the story are not "dumbed down". And yet it's easy to follow and every time I read it I feel excited and full of anticipation. The symbolism and underlying message of the story are a great reminder for us adults and priceless guides for the little ones.The illustrations are unique, and every page is completely in sync with that part of the story. I really loved the fact that our daughter was thinking outside the box when she saw the illustrations. Every time we read it she discovers something new and we talk about it.I'm hopeful that this the first of many more masterpieces of Love that we can expect to see.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Heart's Garden! It is beautifully written and is a treasure for both children and adults. There is wonderful symbolism and meaning beneath the simple and light words. The illustration is brilliant and depicts creatively the message and mood for each page.Wonderful, powerful, uplifting, and heartwarming book!

I must admit, I know the illustrator, but I have to say I loved the book and the illustrations. Amazing story and really beautiful book.

A book of divine values, love, and empowerment with a beautiful story line and captivating illustrations. Although this is a children book, I recommend it for all ages!

Omid Arabian takes the heart of Rumi's poem and tells a beautiful story that resonates with children and adults alike, and Shilla Shakoori's artwork captures the eyes and heart with her unique style. I love giving gifts that offer joy, meaning and connectedness; The Heart's Garden is one of those beautiful treasures.
