Budget alternative to Playmobil
Was a little disappointed with the quality of the plastic mouldings but as the set was reduced was happy with it for what I paid. Will make a nice Christmas scene . The sleigh is very nice with the decal strips attached. As other reviewers point out you need to assemble the grid for the inside of the calendar first and fit the toys in and then fit back into the box. Take care with this as I tore one corner of the box slightly. Would appeal most to 3s and under I think.

Nice alternative to chocolate
This is a nice alternative to chocolate advent calendar, with some toys great for 3 year-old. You do have to assemble it yourself when it arrives. That involves opening up box, putting together inserts to create separate compartments, assembling some of the parts and then placing them in the correct compartment before sliding it all back in the box. I wasn't expecting that - but it wasn't hard, and I may even have enjoyed it a little.

lovely but flimsy box.
This was fabulous the first year but i had hoped to be able to use it again and again. Sadly the box is very flimsy, and even being really careful we could not open the doors without it ripping. My advice would be to cover it in sticky backed plastic before you use it, and then it may last for more than 1 year - if you're lucky. All the little pieces are lovely though, and my infant class have really enjoyed playing with the pieces - none of which have broken.

Not a reusable advent calendar
This was great for the christmas I bought it, but the box gets completely demolished by the time christmas day arrives. Do not buy this if you intend to bring it out year after year, as it really is a one-time deal.Having said that, it is a lovely festive scene and the figures are all nice and chunky, perfect for my two year old to play safely with. A toy a day throughout December certainly went down well with him.

Ok
This was a good starting point to idea of advent calendar's.The backdrop not robust enough for young child, also my 1 year old daughter kept wanting to play with the chest on the back of the sleigh which wasn't very child friendly. Think it could of lost a tree and perhaps one reindeer and had something else instead such as a snowman as it was very repetitive as the trees come in two parts.
