what type/kind of wood is this made of?

I contacted the company as none of their information provided listed the kind of wood used, but I have not received any reply. The wood is quite sturdy &, if I had to guess, I would say oak, but I don't know for sure. All they say in their info is they use natural woods. I hope this helps.

My son is 2 years old, but I noticed this toy is more advanced. Could he still benefit from playing with it?

This toy is suitable for ages one, and up, so your son could benefit from playing with it. It helps recognize colors and increases observation, logic ability, and hand-eye coordination. This sliding puzzle works on their pincer grasp to pick, move and place the elements on the board, so much-needed skills in the first years.

Many neuronal connections are forming even just by trying to perform a more challenging activity, which prepares the child to eventually succeed when he will be ready!

Hi,

All the materials used on the Busy Board comply with safety standards.
It is free of lead, formaldehyde,.bps, bpa, phthalates and pvc.

We use water based paint and natural bees was to coat the individual parts.

Most of the parts are made out of wood, soft materials or plastic.
There are metal parts at the wheel, door lock, the zipper handle, staples at the shoe lace, and screws, all with the purpose of fixing the activities in place.
