Plugged it in and have had no problems for over a year now. I have at least 20 full games downloaded on it. Works Great.

Great hard drive
The price for the storage capacity is fantastic. My old one gave up when Microsoft forced an update that corrupted it. To be able to just pull one out and stick a new one is always appreciated. Sad that I lost all my gaming data. But I'm very happy with the replacement drive. I would recommend it.

Formatted and Modified
This hard drive works great, and is much cheaper than the official Microsoft version. If you are looking for a hard drive so your Xbox 360 will be backwards compatible with your old original Xbox games, this will not work out of the box. You can modify the hard drive to get this function to work. You will need a cable to connect this to your computer, and I ended up having to install it in my laptop monetarily to get the final step finished. There are videos on YouTube that will show you what to do. If you don't feel comfortable with doing this, then you may want to spring for the more expensive Microsoft one. If you do buy this with the intention of modifying it, please find the instructions online and fully understand what you are getting into first before you buy it. I chose to mod this hard drive and it now works great. We can play the old games, and have plenty of storage space for everything. Some of the old games will still not work though. Microsoft has a list posted online of games that they support backwards compatibility on. We have been using it for 3 months without a single error or problem.

Made it possible to play original Xbox games with a little know how.
This unit worked very well and gave new life to an old xbox 360 slim unit I had which never had a hard drive. I wanted to be able to play some of the original xbox games out there but my xbox 360 did not have a drive with the compatibility files. To use this for that purpose you need two additional things. First you will need to locate something like the software FATXplorer64 which will allow you to load the files in this drive. Second, I found that rather than using an Xbox original cable, you can use a cable sold here on Amazon to connect this drive to your computer: SABRENT USB 3.0 to SSD / 2.5 Inch SATA I/II/III Hard Drive Adapter. The amazon link for the one I purchase was: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011M8YACM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1When you connect this drive via this cable to your Windows PC it will not see it. The trick to getting this to work is to use the FATXplorer64 software. You open the software, and one of the features is to enable file transfer. When you do this, your computer will see the drive and let you install the files. After they were installed, all I did was remove the drive, plug it into the xbox, and try my old xbox games. The drive works great!

Nice HD
Installed this device into my X-box 360 but because it's NOT an genuine Microsoft HD, it wont work with my Halo cames... so sad that im forced to spend $160. So, I'm buying a new X-box and selling the 360... done with it!

Brought a little life back into an old platform
We still have Xbox 360 due to the Kinect. It allows indoor exercise which has been invaluable especially with COVID. Unfortunately many games require a HD to run and when we purchased the original slim version, it did not have one. Now that the prices are so low, its a no brainer to upgrade your Xbox 360 to allow more games and even some games from the original XBox. The installation was so easy, just open the door on the side of the unit slide the hard drive in until it clicks, replace the cover and boot the system up. It was recognized right away and games can now be installed on this unit.
