00v and causes smart chargers to shut off on hi volts
WOW!! No WONDER there are such diverse reviews on these EBL batteries! They have such HIGH internal resistance, they 'discharge' in SECONDS above about about 3 amps load! They cannot charge above 1 amp or the terminal voltage goes above 2.00v and causes smart chargers to shut off on hi volts.I have been testing my 8pc in 4 different smart chargers all day now. This hi internal resistance - measured so far on 1 @ 0.145ohms - means they cannot supply or accept above about 1 amp max!At real low currents (.5amp and below), they are accepting charge and discharging fair-poor. So far I have pushed 2500mah into a couple, pulled 3500ma out of one new one. They will NEVER get close to 10,000mha rating though!I consistently get single and double digit internal resistance measurements on my Tenergy D cells rated 10,000mah, although I have NEVER had even 1 (out of 25 total in 5 years) give 10,000mah - but they at least do get to 7-8,000mah, and with normal internal resistance they can ALL pull and push 10+ amps easy.My green ebay D cells rated 10,000mah are good for more than these EBL! At least they can give and take 5amps! When cut open, one can see why the green china D cells are only good for 2-3ah: they have about same dia wrap of cell material as a standard AA cell. The EBL weighs about 25% less than Tenergy; the green china weight about 70% less. There is more proof of lower capacity. But EBL is just a very poor design with this high internal resistance, not worth a damn for use in anything that will pull 1amp or more.So bottom line on EBL D cell is not worth the money.

Good performance and saves money
We bought these for our no touch trash cans and recycle bins. Pack of 8 is just enough for the two containers. We love these batteries because they have pretty good capacity so that they last about 3 months before we have to recharge them. The other thing is we think these batteries are much lighter than the old Tenergy ones that we had. We will probably buy these batteries again.

Power to spare
These cells are truly super high capacity. I try to standardize on D Cells for all flashlights on my boat. At 1.2 volts, you might want to use 10 cells instead of 8 for a 12v light, but they have a flatter voltage output compared to alkaline cells, so actually after an hour there is not much difference. Three Stars
They only hold charge for 24 hours. Take 8 or more hours to charge

Don't seem to hold a charge very well. Performance is resonable.

Dont bother
Definitly not the rated amp hour capacity. They die fast, and they are super light compared to other batteries, leaving me to wonder if they even have the right amount of substance inside them to begin with. At least they are rechargeable.

After using the everready rechargeables for years I now know they are crap. These new ones last 10 times longer before needing charge.. No problems with order or shipping.

Five Stars
So far so good, no ad batteries in the whole bunch.
