I first tried a pair of these out on a porch swing that had to be hung at an angle from the 2x6 ceiling joists. I didn't want just a 1-dimensional swing hinges with would make the swing's movement awkward.This product has the 1-dimensional hinge BUT it has attached to it a rotating swivel (to which you hook your swing). This allows my swing -which is aligned at an angle to the joists, to smoothly and conformably swing.Well, I just bought two more of this product for a pair of hanging "sky-chairs" and the swivel-hinges perform beautifully. They are also screwed into 2X6 ceiling joists and it's one "sky-chair" per swivel-hinge. EASILY has safely held over 300lbs, each.I highly recommend this product for the applications I have shared. Each swivel-hinge comes with concrete anchors (which I didn't use) as well as lag-bolts for wood (which I DID use). Just pre-drill into the wood joist about half the depth/length of the lag bolts (using a MUCH smaller diameter drill bit) so you don't split/weaken the joist.

this feels very firmly attached. i installed into ceiling studs in my garage. i used a 7/32” bit to predrill and a 1/2” socket to drive in the bolts. of course i can’t guarantee how long it might last but it seems super solid now. and i like that it allows for full 360 rotation

This is a revised review. Our mount didn't hold, but after looking at it closely I can see that the axle screw needed to be tightened. I bought about 4 sets in all and ended up adding locktight to all the threads on the every axle screw for every set I have. Should be good to go. Will update to 5 star once I see there are no further issues.

These were a perfect replacement for our rusted out galvanized steel hangers. The hangers come with everything you need and work perfectly.

Use these for indoor hammock and they are sturdy. Easy to install

I got this to hang my metal porch swing that has a 500lb weight capacity. I bought this particular set because of it’s high weight capacity, it’s anti-rust zinc coating which would allow it to withstand rain and snow, and because it came with the caribiner clips to attach the swing chain to the hooks. I decided to hang it inside my screened in patio instead of outside off of my patio so I won’t really be able to share how well these withstand the elements. I used my stud finder to locate the support beams on our outdoor patio ceiling and drilled a pilot hole using a 3/8” drill bit to prevent this from cracking the plywood on the drop ceiling. We used a wrench to tighten and this took quite a bit of muscle so I enlisted the help of my big beefy husband and we got it done in about 15 minutes including the time it took to locate the tools. The Caribiners are heavy and were able to fit into a standard size porch swing chain. Satisfied with this purchase.

I’m about 500lbs and I used these to install a particular swing in our bedroom. If it can hold me, then it can hold just about anyone.
